Since I have made a couple of posts on this thread - I would like to respond to this.
I am hardly ever on the forums so I don't know who you are talking about when you said there are PLENTY of other girls that do this. Would you mind providing a link to the threads? No matter how harmless...??? This is just out of pure curiousity on my behalf.
I could care less how much attention is taken away from me because I don't get much to begin with, and that does not bother me in the least. What I did not like - was some of the posts that were made by Miss Avina about women pool players as a whole. I honestly don't think it's about attention being taken away from anyone, but that's just my opinion. I put in my dues to become the player I am today, and I didn't do it by belittling anyone in the process.
I love to see new females trying to come up in the pool world. It is actually very refreshing to see new faces instead of the same old same old all the time.

I generally don't bother with threads such as this, but figured that I would chime in one time and one time only. Threads like this and the thread(s) that caused this one breed negativity and that is something that I cannot stand.
If Mary really isn't good enough to throw herself out there with backers then welcome her with open arms and take the bank roll with open hands. If you don't think she's the hottest chick in pool well then keep it to yourself because beauty is relative. Hopefully it doesn't spread in a way to where I am checking every forum outside of this one and NPR.

With all the attention these threads are getting and miss Avena's comments about her game and gamble i would think if for no other reason then to put out the flames she would get in the box. From what ive read the gal calling her out isnt a pro but just a solid player so whats to be feared.
If you have backers and some gamble in ya as she has clearly stated she does why would you NOT step up and play...i just dont get it. As far as the hot thing goes most ppl's tastes differ.
1 more thing since im typing my opinions...i know this is the wrong thread but as far as the hottest chick in pool goes im just wondering why Rita hasnt stepped up with a pic or 2......woman was strap like poncho villa and can play pretty sporty....matter of fact how bout a rita vs mary vs wtfomg ring game?

Well Amanda, that would take too much of my precious time regarding something I really just don't care about researching. Be my guest if you are really that interested; it shouldn't be that difficult to find. I don't know Mary, and it may be true that she said those things; however, who cares unless it directly involves you. I can see if it did, but from what I read it doesn't in regards to many. I was simply saying it happens alot. People speak generally majority of the time, so as a reader you have to decide if you are guilty enough to get butt hurt about it. It is very hypocritical imo. It's actually reassuring to know that we are all assholes. I thought I was the only one and I was feeling a little guilty. I try to hide it but when you are just a natural asshole like me it comes to the surface sometimes.
