Thank you, Fast Lenny.
This forum has become vulgar, and it is usually the same culprits. Believe it or not, we used to have MORE great threads about pool, players, tournaments, updates, pictures, at one time, than the many in poor taste that you read on here today.
I have seen some great AzBilliards members quit coming to this forum, and it isn't hard to know why. Today, because of some "jokesters," for lack of a better word, I do not enjoy weeding through threads laced with vulgar pictures of women in degrading sexual positions and then having to defend every single word I write against the regular jokesters who do not post anything about pool as a rule. Their sole mission on this forum is to antagonize and argue. You will see their names frequently on flame threads with one-liners and/or pictures degrading some of the great players and legends of pocket billiards.
I mean, my God, people today on this forum are more worried about how much green rep they have and whether they are on the first page of Reputation Rankings, so much so that one poster questioned why my rep level was so high when I had not posted for so long. He just couldn't stand it that I was in the number-two slot, especially since I was not posting. I didn't even pay attention to rep until recently. Nobody else used to either, but today, it seems to be quite important to some members here.
I got news for you, folks. If getting green rep is the highlight of your life, you need to get off of this forum and find a better passtime. Believe me, there is more to life than green rep on AzBilliards.
I remember a time, before Mr. Wilson was moderator, when he was one of the BEST contributing posters to this forum, and there are other good pool folk who post on here less frequently, too. It is not hard to figure out why.
I only wrote one post to Quentin because I had remembered his name from the IPT tournament trail, and quite frankly, I wanted him to know that there are some -- not all -- AzBilliards' posters who may enjoy his participation here. It is okay that some may have differing opinions. Sometimes, though, because of the jokesters -- again, for lack of a better word -- it is not possible for some people to enjoy what AzBilliards could have to offer.
I have hung out in many a pool environment in my lifetime, and it takes a lot to insult me, believe me. The disgrace of fornication insults at this stage of my life, a 54-year-old woman, is something I want no part of. I have never intended to put myself on AzBilliards for that purpose, and I do not conduct myself in any manner to warrant such an insult. In fact, some of the younger women who the jokesters rip apart in a degarding manner don't deserve it either.
Good luck to you, Quentin, if you are still following this thread. Do take the advice of some and come to the States and spend a few months. You may find all the action you can muster up. There are some good American pool enthusiasts and players, some of whom do not post on this forum, who will give you all the game you may desire and then some.
So have at me now. Dissect my above-referenced thoughts and turn them into something I had not intended. After all, that's the norm today on AzBilliards, ain't it?!
Hell Jenny, I stated on a post that the break in 9ball is the whole game...mind you it was just my opinion. Then some dude calls me a retard and asked me if I even watch pool LOL, me of all people.....LOL.....LOL "Do I watch pool"..
