Wow, I am such a huge fan of both Danny & John. I feel upset & disappointed by this arguing back & forth. I look up to these guys & I have to remind myself that they are both PROFESSIONALS. So many people want to see this matchup, but can't these guys just do it for the fans & squash this on the pool table? I will not attack either player, I have too much respect for their games & am humbled by their abilities. I hope they reconsider for the good of the game.

Well put sir..I lost my patience and my mind

Congratulations U get the nittiest nockin poster ever award, I used to watch guys like u when I was on the road jiffy-leggs, u would run from pool room to room when there was a player in town that you knew was capable of winning some dough. You would explain to someone u did'nt even know how you watched this guy before and blagh blahh blog.
That kinda boogy is what makes people like yourself dance, just keep playin' in your local bar league and be the hero of your bar I'm sure your pool game is as good as your english grammer.
LOL,Quote"u would run from pool room to room where there was a player in town that you knew was capable of winning some dough"........Sorry Danny boy,Not my style,I don't idolize pool player's like yourself.

I will keep playing in my local bar league and enjoying the game of pool.
I will continue making a very good living and enjoying life.

You,sound like a 2 year old kid on here.wah,wah,wah.And I do hope that you and John match up,and that he not only gives you a lesson on the table but also give you a lesson on maturity and gentlemanship.

JCIN, no offense intended! In answer to your question. I just interpreted that Danny was ready to play, and I remember it wasn't long ago that Schmidt was on line telling everyone he had a backer for $10,000 and challenging anyone. jSo I assumed they were both eager to go.

In this thread I saw Janice and Fatboy neither of whom are playing, and neither one who are promoting, start pushing the date for this match out to February 09. I didn't understand that - seems like the players should play when they are ready, and the railbirds should gather at the appropriate time - not try to decide the time themselves.

You imply that I'm encouraging this match to occur on short notice, without opportunity for people to know about it. I suggest that if it were scheduled for two weeks from now, that everyone would know who cared to, and that those who cared to see it first hand would be there. So I guess what you're saying is that you need three months to set up your camera and film it? You're the one who will make the DVD's, and sell them I presume. So the match will be immortalized, and hopefully it will be worth the time you invest.

fSo, let's try this again, if the players wanted to play now (which Schmidt doesn't apparently), you'd be encouraging them to wait because why?

you might be suprised if you knew what I do that is not spoken about.

i know dannys ready but since we played i dont have a picture above my bed thinking about getting revenge.

since we played ive remodled my house ,got into dirt bikes ,went to tourneys worked on some other projects to make money in short im busy.
now because all hes thought about is me as he lives on his friends couch 4 feet from pooltable with no house, live in girlfriend, dog or hobbies ,golf dirt bike , remodeling etc and plays ten times more aweek than i do .
im ducking him if i dont jump when he wants to play.
frankly i dont care about what he wants and secretly i take pleasure out of making him wait.
if we play or not ive got a life ,im not sure he can say the same.
if i am going to go through the b.s. of preparing for a match i can play a guy like kirkwood or bartrum who will be a perfect gentleman win or lose.

One of the funniest and best woofing posts ever posted in these hallowed forums....
John is not only a world class player, he's a world class woofer.

These kind of witty, albeit, sardonic responses are, in my opinion, good for pool. Stirs the pot nicely. Adds fuel to the fire. Gets the blood flowing.
Who here wouldn't love to watch round 3 between John and Danny?

Go John!

I've got a good idea

Any word on that tournament...The place I want to do the tournament has a private room with a diamond...Window for viewers...would be a great place for a TAR match-up

I've got no stake in this one way or the other, but neither of these guys came out looking good the last time they started barking at each other on this site. In an era where sponsors are hard to find and easy to lose (ask Earl) it might be best to keep the business part private unless it's just being done to stir up interest in potential viewers, which I doubt is the case.

But then, what do I know?

Jimmy peanut butter, er um, jimmy-leggs,
More and more, you're sounding mob related with all these nicknames being bantered about....Frankie "Fingers", Johnny "The Nose"...etc. Now, here at AZB, we now have Canadian PeanutButter to go along with our imported salmon, tuna and grizzley bear hides!

Jimmy, you HAVE to add the award that Danny "The Springfield rifle" has bestowed upon you to your signature! It's one of them classic lines that should be immortalized in a time capsule. If I knew where to get you a statue of your prestigious award, I would honor you with the 1st annual winner of said award. But alas, I've lost track of most of my 4th grade playground buddies to see where they got their awards made from.

Hang in there Jimmy-jelly. There's still a lot of pool left to be played.

Most of you are missing the point, John does not like Danny and Danny does not like John. You mostly heard Dannys side of the story of what went on between them and that is my point, you haven't heard John's side and you never will, I know what went on, JCIN knows and a few others know but John is not go to bring it up in a public forum.

Danny brought up what he wanted you to hear after he lost the last match but it was not prefaced with what led up to it prior to the match. He also stated at the conclusion of the match that there would be no rematch. Now he is calling John out, wants an appearance fee and making it sound like John is afraid of him, trust me, John is not afraid of him, he just dosen't like him.

John lost the first go around and complimented Danny on his victory. Danny lost the 2nd match, did not shake John's hand and came on a public forum and made excuses and insulted John for days. Now he comes back when he thinks hes playing the best pool of his life, starts all this crap again and even spells John's name wrong. Why should John play him?

The bottom line is John does not want anything to do with Danny on or off the pool table. He has great respect of Danny's pool ability but he has no respect for him in any other way.

John loves pool and loves competition but he does not want to be around Danny for one day let alone the three days it would take to complete this match. He also does not want Danny to profit from the appearance fee and the DVD sales.

I'm not saying this match will not happen, but if Danny keeps up these tactics I can guarantee you it will not.

I would'nt give Danny the time of day.Don't stoop down to his level,John, you have more class than that.

you sir have no clue

hi

Go get a boxing ring. You guys should suit up with proper protective gear and seriously box. After you beat the shit out of one another, kiss and make up and then go play a gentlemans game of pool. You definitely aren't winning any popularity contest amongst pool fans with the trash talk, in my opinion. Good Luck to all, and Happy Thanksgiving!!::grin:

I am still interested in betting on Danny Harriman if John and Danny can agree on a rematch.

Sure hope they will play, and I hope they can reduce the insulting posts to a minimum. It is very entertaining to read, some classic lines here, and it is a great build-up for the match, but I would prefer them to do the fighting on the pooltable.

Who knows, perhaps they both will represent Team USA in next years Mosconi Cup. Will they be able to represent USA in a scotch double match against Ralf Souquet and Niels Feijen, or will they end up smashing eachother with their cues? (that would be some great tv, btw)

....... I am not one to make excuses for losing ....
Sincerely, The Springfield Rifle

i really am surprised to hear you say this danny. pretty much all you do is make excuses actually.

ive told you this before and i know you wont listen, but here goes again, even if we assume EVERY word of yours is true, well, you are saying you let john into your head and that's why he beat you. in other words, you cracked...... to put it even another way, if this was efren (or any true champion) in this match, he would have said to himself after the loss "damn, i messed up, i let him get to me, maybe he was a bit (or even a lot?) out of line, but i let him get to me." that is what a true champion would do, not come online and start telling everybody he lost because the other guy started an argument. you cracked and through my experinence i bet you know that you cracked too, but we try to find another outlet.... to blame ourselves would be too hard.

you probably missed a ball or made a crucially bad shot that game, and you are the only one to blame for that.

again, i say all that assuming everything you said was true, ie...... "john got out of line and he's not a gentleman etc" ok, well, you still messed up danny.

Some of the best matchups were between Mosconi and Minnesota Fats, and they couldn`t stand each other.:D

so far its a stand off between these two, neither giving an inch. Wanting, needing to post, but refraining none the less.

The Quiet Game Challenge marches on without a victor so far......

I move for a new all around opponent, I mean wow I am flying to his hometown on his home table, how much easier or more convenient for him could it be? John is bowing out of this, he's winner so has gone to dinner indefinitely. John mentioned Jason Kirkwood maybe playing - I'm all for it, it will however be an all around format, this offer is still open as John has lost his nerve to play. I enjoy competing against players I don't like, I was unaware that John was so argumentative but now I am ready whenever he is. I never enjoy competing against my friends in a tough long format, I like a little heated battle.
Interesting that John said he would rather give Kirkwood a rematch - Jason is a great player and capable of beating John but has not. If I were John I would duck me also cause I am playing well right now. I knew he would defeat me in the ten ball the last time we played cause I was still upset from our argument that he started in the One Pocket at 9-8. I have said this before but John is not a true champ in my book, I realize he does not like me and that he is upset at the state of men's Professional pool which makes him a touch bitter. But it looks like I have a bit more fight in me than him, I guess Chris Bartrum was right.

I understand where I stand with the Tar people also, after I won the first time against John they posted him all over there website and very little of me.
When John lost they were extremeley quick about giving him a rematch even though there was interest in other matches, Now that I am ready It looks like they are slow to react but I could be wrong. Maybe if enough people on this forum post to Tar or Justin he will see the interest and try and politic John to play. The ball is in az's court, from what I understand the last match between John and I only got maybe 50 some viewers. Which is partly cause Efren and John sheduled some live stream match that I heard had question marks all over it, either way the appearence fee for me to show up and play John is very negotiable.
Sincerely, Danny

Fatboy is correct, drama sells. If possible throw in a couple undercard matches, maybe 1 race to 21 instead of making these ones three days long.

Maybe Morra will take another shot at Justin Bergman, or Justin will defend against someone like Klatt or Hennesey?

Rousey and Web

I'm sure there are lot's of people who would like to challenge past TAR match winners so let's hear from you! Who can you beat?
We have received the offer from you to go to Shooterville in Canada to play but will have to respectfully pass. That would be a minimum 5 day trip and expensive to get there. I know, I know - Justin won easy last time so why wouldn't we want to go. Sorry, it is just too far.

Klatt can come to the USA anytime to get played - that game has been offered and turned down by Jason. Hennessey is someone that I don't particulary want to be involved gambling with. :bash:

John never said "No"

Danny,
If you want an all-around match up, consider Shannon Daulton for a set of 9 or 10 ball, banks and 1P. Daulton doesn't play 14.1, but he's a killer at banks and 1P and just knocked off a big 10 ball title with a field full of monsters of all ages.
Shannon has as many, if not more, fans on AZB as any pro player. I'm 100% certain that Shannon Daulton would be a very tough match up for anybody.
Kudos to you for posting your challenges here. That's not done often enough here.

The only reason for all the complaining about John was because of the move he pulled when it was hill hill in the One Pocket. If Jay ref's then I'm sure that would be fine, I would be ashamed to have won the way you did John. Making a player angry and arguing about rules that have already been established was not the way a champion operates in my book. I guess we will see if the game is possible - your welcome to call me all the names u want and argue about the rules in our third rematch as I am aware of your tactics. Also I would like Jay to do all the racking - ohh and by the way 20 of those pages had your name on them trying to defend your actions (arguing about rules and namecalling etc.)
Looking forward to the rematch, Danny Harriman
Is this going to be with gloves or bare knuckles? Inquiring minds want to know.

If Danny and John go head to head in a ring (gloves, protective gear), my money is on John. Winner by arm triangle choke - let's see how Danny strokes 'em after that. :)

We try not to do business in public but it seems that is what its come to so here it is.

John got the match with Kirkwood because that is who Kirkwood wanted play. People come to us and say "I will play X this game and Y this game" we cant make anybody play anybody. To date your name has never come up probably because not too many people are going to play you an all around and they figure you are not going to just play 10 Ball.

There are two standing offers to play 10 Ball right now for $10,000 minimum. One is to play Dennis Hatch and the other is to play Alex Pagulayan. Dennis will play any American and Alex will play anyone. If you want to play either or both of those guys with us involved we can make it happen but if we are going to spend our time and money to set it up we have to have some input on the schedule.

If you want to play Tony Chohan, Scott Frost, or Gabe Owen One Pocket that can probably happen too. Mika may have some interest playing 14.1 or 10 Ball I have not spoke with with him recently but I got the word that he is interested in doing something when his schedule allows.

The only guy who will give you action in the All Around format is John and it looks like that is over and done with.Last night I called John and talked to him for about an hour trying to convince him to play you. Offered more than what makes sense for us to give up in order to make it happen. For both him and you. Guaranteed up front money, something that doesn't really make sense for us to do now but would consider taking a shot to make this happen if you two could come together. He said it wasn't worth it. While I disagree, it is his life and his time so I respect his decision.

The "I know where I stand with TAR" comment has me puzzled. Have we ever not treated you right ? Not treated you with courtesy and respect ? When we said we would pay did the check clear ? You think because maybe John's picture was on a website more than yours it means something? It probably means that at that particular time the best picture I had available was of John. Those decisions are made in seconds along with a hundred others during and after an event. Here is the web page from when you won the match over John http://theactionreport.com/Action_All_Around_1 it stands to reason that when John won he got more coverage.

Chad and I both have a tremendous amount of respect for your game and heart. We also appreciate you working with us. If you somehow got the feeling that we don't view you in the same light as any of the other players who work with us, it is just not the case.

If you have a question or beef with me or Chad call us. We are easy to find and always do our best to make things work.

The number of viewers you heard about was way off by the way.
