good post exactly my thoughtssrs314 said:I know everyone agrees it would be nice to have the John & Danny rivalry to continue to play out on the table but if John isn't interested then we have to respect that. To me he doesn't really need a reason, so let's just leave him alone.
I trust there are other players we can find to challenge Danny in the near future and maybe one day down the road John will be back in action and ready to go.
Personally I would like to see anyone play Alex that thinks they can beat him in an all around. Not saying he's a lock by any means but I know he would be tough for anyone to beat.
Anyway lets get our focus on TARS upcoming Ring Game and Chohan match!!

I doubt you would see two Filipino players who disliked each other ducking the possibility of grinding that person and their confidence into the ground by smoking them in a match. I doubt you would see the top players in Taiwan like Kou, Wu, or a younger Chao ever acting like we are seeing JS and DH acting on this forum. They do not talk on forums, they talk on the pool table. Totally different mindset from these two.
They yack and yack about gimmick games, need a ref, must play x, y, and z game. Hell a top Canadian player down at the US Open tried to get action with a well known American pro but that could only happen in rack your own 9-ball. No ref racking the balls, no rack your own 10 ball, it must be rack your own 9-ball because that person lived and died on being a rack mechanic.
That is just sad, how the hell is the USA ever going to come out of their international showing rut with people like this? Play frickin pool, forget the big cueballs, learn to look at a rack and figure out how to break it instead of needing the balls set exactly in a specific way, forget the bar box, get some friggin heart and play REAL pool against each other that will prepare you for the big stage when next you have to play the world 9-ball championships, world 10-ball championships, all Japan 9-ball, where all your gimmicks will fail you and your lack of heart will show why the Philipines, Taiwan, and Europe have the USA currently dominated save for one guy in SVB who the entire country puts their weight on if they want to see a USA vicotry.
Both these guys have huge natural talent but they both lack in heart and the will to compete and be the best. Saying it is an even match with a guy you cannot stand, then change that. Practice until you can slap the guy silly and make him say "no mas" and quit you for life, and then move up from there. Or seriously, just quit. You are either a pro player striving to be the best or you are not, and if you are not then go do something else that you can strive to be the best at. Your lack of competitive spirit in this thread is unreal for two people who are supposed to be top calibre players. You should be itching to get on the table and shut each other up by dominating and humiliating the other in a lopsided match, get some freaking heart ffs.
Cripe, I have always targetted smoking the players I did not like for cash, and I did so with my own roll, and I tended to shoot alot better against those guys then the guys I liked. God forbid I had someone elses roll staking me, there are a heap of players that would be in my sights that I would love to beat on the table while listening to them whine and watching them squirm as they sit in that chair unable to do squat to stop it. I relish the chance to do that, and if it was front page AZB news the next day all the better. Get some freaking heart you two and become the players that your talent dictates you should be.
