Just my opinion

Hey guys in my honest opinion I think Steve aka Tikkler should get his own sticky.

I mean the guy's cue collection is beyond insane and I think we all have wet dreams about most of the cues he posts on here.

I honestly can say he and his collection are an inspiration to a young 27 yr old collector like myself.

Let me know what you think guys.

Charlie

I'd rather hear the story about what Steve does for a living and how he got to where is at now so I could attempt to replicate it.

Oh and I also love looking at the pics of Steve's monster cues

I think it would be a good idea for Steve to have his own sticky since he takes his time to post pics of all of his cues.It would be his personal "Special" place on this forum!

> I'm with ya there. What impresses me the most is,no matter how nice of a cue he comes up with, being a vintage or current piece,is he never manages to give me the slightest impresssion that he's rubbing it in people's faces.

Oddly enough,I've never gotten that impression from any of our BIG collectors, with one exception. I still can't call that guy a ***** about that either, what was said to me was probably funny to him,and it wasn't in person,so why argue about it?

Keep 'em coming guys,Tommy D.

I love Steve´s cues, too, and the idea of a sticky sounds nice, but......
i hoped Steve will put all his pics back on JIMBO´S Homepage.
I loved to look at all of Steve´s cues at one place, and the CUE SHOWCASE on JIMBO´S Homepage is perfect for that.
I have no idea why Steve deleted all his cues, but maybe if we all can talk him into it again .......
Hey Steve, put them up again, come on :bow-down::bow-down::bow-down:

I support Steve having a section to post pictures of his cues.

I met Steve through this forum and I am thankful for it. There was an AZB meet and greet at a local poolhall about 6 months ago. Steve was going to be there showing some of his cues. I got there about an hour after he left (babysitter issue). A few days later I sent him a PM saying that I wish I was able to see his collection of Black Boars. He sent me his number and asked to give him a call. We talked for about an hour talking cues. He eventually invited me to his house to view his collection. I could not believe it! He lives a few hours away so I rented a hotel room to stay at. Anyway, when I got to his house there were a ton of 1x2 cases all over his kitchen and dining room. Mike Morgan, Steve and I went through every single case he had. I was able to hold some of the most beautiful cues ever made in my hands. I was in cue heaven. Steve took us to a local restaurant for dinner. We then went back to his house to play some pool. I was able to play with a few of his cues. I wanted to tell this story because I am just some guy who started collecting cues a few years ago. I am not a big collector just a regular guy a few nice cues. He treated me with the utmost respect. The bottom line is Steve is a very kind person who loves cues. He wants to share his collection with others so they may enjoy them as well.

I just wanted to share and thank Steve.

Chris

What is a stiky?

I think its those threads at the top of each section that are slightly darker in color and have a little pin in them, keeping them at the top all the time.

I think what people are asking for here isn't a sticky, but more of a subsection of the cue gallery kind og dedicated to Steve and his cues. Not sure I agree with that. But hey. To each his own.

While I agree that most of these guys aren't trying to 'rub it in our faces', I think the overall intention behind a lot of these guys' posts is 'Tell me how great these cues are and how much you envy me. I really need that reassurance.'

There are some extremely well-respected collectors on this forum that seldom give you a glimpse into their massive and impressive collections. And why? Because for them, its about the cues. Its about the passion for the cues, the art that goes into them, the love of the game and the tools its played with, etc.. Its not about recognition. And that in itself is admirable. Frustrating for us cue lovers, sure! Lol. But admirable.

But a lot of the collectors who are more prolific posters here just seem to want reassurance that they are the envy of everyone out there. They seem to just like hearing people say how awesome their stuff is and how jealous we are of them. Kinda childish and extremely transparant if you ask me. This is just my opinion and I'm sure I'll come under fire for it, but I had to say it.

And some just want to share their beautiful collection with people who can appreciate it.

Do you have a link to this cue showcase?

I vote for Steve to have his own sticky......great idea.

I think the reason why i said this guys is because when Steve gets a new cue he truly does seem like a kid on christmas morning with a genuine innocent excitement that isnt about rubbing it in our faces.

To answer another question from what I understand Steve owns Jiffy Lube. Like the whole thing. lol I could be wrong but thats what I was told.

You can tell Steve's passionate about cues and I have had the pleasure of having a cue of mine be photographed by him and he was a gentleman through the whole thing.

Again my nomination still stands.

Shall we do a poll to see whether Steve deserve his own little sticky thread in this Cue Gallery Sub Forum.

Excellent post. Steve used to post a bunch of his cue pics over at that site. The beauty of it was, only members could see the Showcase. So collectors were inclined to show their stuff their. Then one day, the new posts from Tikkler stopped coming. And soon after, pics started being pulled. Why? Ask around over there. I'll bet a few people know. It wasn't much of a secret afterall.

Each of us have a Photo Album of our own when you go to that person's Profile. Steve can use that.

Anyway, I support for any decent cue collector to have his own sub-section on the Cue Gallery.

+1 vote from me, i appreciate it very much that he shares the pics of his nice cues, for mere mortals like me to get a chance to see some of the best cues on the planet.
