I have started a thread in the AzB Hall of Fame section of this forum for Hemicudas. I hope that when time allows, the moderator will read this thread and put Hemicuda's member name in red, like all of our other beloved AzBilliards bretheren.

Bill was a strong poster on this forum for many years. He also posted on Southern Billiards forum, NOLA forum, and OnePocket.org.

His passion for pool was infectious. His photos and tales from the past are great contributions to AzBilliards as a whole. I'm going to post up a few of those stories in that thread when time allows.

For those who remember Bill, please take time to contribute to his thread in the AzB Hall of Fame, which is located at the bottom of the Main Forum section. TIA!

RIP, Bill. You're one of the good guys! I miss you.

Bill was a good man with a heart as big as all outdoors. He worked so hard memorializing his friends, it is only fitting that we as a group do something very special for him.

I always liked his post, he had a lot of info and stories. I was wondering what happened because I have not seen any post from him in a while. RIP Bill you will be missed. Tom

This one hits home for me. Bill was "really nice guy". He sued to call later in the evenings and we would talk for extended periods. He knew my wife loved Deer and the Vicksburg Miss. area and he sent countless pictures. Some really beautiful stuff too.
He had a passion for this game and loved the players, good and bad alike.
We met in Shreveport La back in the 70's and both were in Gus n Dolls when Buddy and Louie played. H eo often commented that he was so grateful to have witnessed the greatest match ever played. Well, some 40 years later, I can only agree.
Bill Bell was big, strong, sweet man.

Holy smokes, was this sudden or had he been sick? He was a very constructive and helpful member of this forum, he helped me with a shot once. My cue ball would jump when I tried to use high inside English and he recommended keeping the cue level, great advice that has helped my game a lot. I wonder what's going to happen to his 1970 barracuda, that is one sweet car. Hopefully somebody who loves classic cars will end up with it.

I consider myself fortunate to have known him, even if it was only on the internet. I will miss him and I didn't know him other than on this website, deepest condolences to his family and friends.

he had been ill for some period and they had canceled by pass a few times

Bill had a GREAT QUOTE on his Facebook page.

It read: "That Willie Mascara taught me how to play pool..."

Good sense of humor, married since 1969, served in the Navy I believe. Once was tall and slender much like the younger Buddy Hall. Also Bill beat a U.S. OPen 9 ball champion once upon a time...... so at one time he could play. ;)

I completely missed this - and I now sit here stunned on a Monday morning. Bill was more than a great poster here on AZB, he was a great guy. We traded many PMs, emails and phone calls. It is my loss that I was never able to meet the man in person. He had a passion for pool, that is without question.

I completely missed this also. Another good guy taken.

Hemicudas

WOW - what a loss.

:crying:

I enjoyed his posts and insight.

Sometimes you feel like the earth quit turning for a while while an angel jumps off to shoot a few racks on the perfect table floating on a cloud with perfect rails and balls that are actually round and void of chips. This is one of those times.

If we ever meet in Heaven, I will wear my Southern Billiards T-shirt so you will know I am a fan and forum friend.

Several years ago there was a thread about Fat's movie, "The Player". I mentioned on here that I have the trailer on dvd, and Hemi wanted a copy, as he had seen the movie when it came out. I sent him a copy, and we talked on the phone a couple of times. My first few cars were Plymouth's and a Dodge muscle car. He told me about the hemis he has. Very nice man to talk to. RIP

damn just saw this. Oh Bill was a giant. Always supportive and friendly. We talked a lot on One Pocket. He knew a lot. Rest In Peace buddy.

Went by the old pool hall the other day and got a chuckle out of thinking about Bill.:) Some good memories for sure.

There have been no contributors to azb that were more important to me. Bill was great!

bILL SURELY WILL BE MISSED

Have to say there certainly not too many people who were nicer tah Bill, he raised my spirits many times after tough losses, and he was certainly a good friend. ONe of his best friends was also one of my good friends and I'm sure we will be talking about him a lot and always in a good manner. God Bless You Bill !
