have to agree

I have to agree with a few earlier posts,
that Jutstin "Big Show" Collett seems the most appropriate.

As long as he don't get tagged with a name like Thunderdick..............I gots dibs on dat one.:cool:

I have no real useful input into this topic but I felt the need to be included. I am kinda anti-nickname but if anyone deserves to be labeled with an embarrassing moniker for the rest of their lives it is probably Jason errr.... Justin.:p

"Forced" nicknames

You can not force a good nickname folks..... Spur of the moment in the right sitution is paramount.

That, I think, is the best advice of all. Nicknames should be "earned." There should be a story behind them, some applicability behind them, some "catchiness" behind them that reflects the person.

Not this obligatory / gratuitous nickname-giving "just because, by gosh, this person *should* have a nickname." Why?

Some of the most ridiculous nicknames can be found in two sports: wrestling (WWE) and pool. I mean, why is Corey Deuel "The Prince of Pool"? (And his former nickname was the even more ridiculous, "Cash Money".) How in the world did Niels Feijen get "The Terminator" nickname? (He doesn't even look like Ahhhhnold. Niels looks more like Dolph "I must break you" Lundgren than he does Arnold Schwarzenegger by a huge margin.) Who was smoking crack when giving Dennis Orcullo the "Robocop" nickname? (I can just see Dennis, upon first hearing that he got tagged this nickname, saying in his Tagalog accent, "what is Robocop? Is fishing lure?")

I'm with The Saw and Ktown D on this one. Let a nickname come naturally and spontaneously, in due time. Not forced -- which will result in a nickname that drips with gheyness, not something a cool dude like Justin deserves.

Okay, The Kickin' Chicken, The Saw, Ktown D, and TheSquirrel are all in agreement, don't push the nickname thing. :D

Just messing with you.

Carry on.

Best,
Brian kc

Hey bub, those are screennames, not nicknames! Well, The Squirrel is one that I hope gets lost in the sands of time... :-)

Thanks for the chuckle, chicken -- I mean Brian. :p

I think "Fridge" which is the Jumbo portion of the refrigerator might work..

I was also thinking "Ice Box" which is very fitting:)
