But what was up with Shane's clothes during TAR21?

Why did he wear the same outfit everyday?

Top pro player, probably the favorite US player for many, top money player, becoming more popular internationally, and he couldn't hot-foot it to Wal-Mart and pick up a different shirt and shorts?

Or was he suspicious and felt that wearing the same clothes brought him good luck?

I am not trying to be Queer Guy for the Pool Guy....(especially since I'm STR8) but Geez!

Ok, let me have it.

It was probably just him most comfortable outfit. I often go weeks without changing my clothes, and I'm not even playing for a lot of money!:D

Maybe he didn't have money to buy new clothes?
Maybe he had several of the same outfits?
Maybe he is superstitious?
Maybe his sponsors wanted him to wear it?
Maybe he is just nasty?
Maybe you are queer eye for the pool guy? J/K

I have no idea why he did it, did you ask him?

I read somewhere that Efren never changes his shirt at an event. A luck thing. :D

He did the same thing when he played Earl on the 10 footer. I think he wore the same shirt and jeans for the last two days. I know he makes enough to buy plenty of clothes, so maybe it is a luck thing. I don't think his clothes are really going to get dirty walking around a pool table in an air conditioned room for a few days.

I wouldn't personally wear the same thing for that long (maybe two in a row, lol), but I don't really see it as an issue. It is probably a little taboo and counter to our current culture, but to each his own I guess.

I would guess he has several of the same shirts. When I find something that I like and think it looks ok on me, I'll buy a few of the same thing.

I've read that Albert Einstein wore basically the same thing everyday (had multiple pairs of the same trousers, shirts, jackets, sweaters, etc.). I've also heard that Steve Jobs is the same way....the debate starts at WHY?. For those two, the common belief is "one less thing to think about" in a day. Simplicity in things that don't REALLY matter won't waste thoughts that could be spent on more important things.

So, maybe with Shane....his focus was solely on the 10ball match before him, and he also didn't want/need to worry about what to wear each day...???

Wanna bet he wasn't worried about who got kicked off of Dancing with the Stars, or Survivor, etc. that week as well? :p

BTW, Cleary, I don't know how many times I've really liked a pair of shoes, and bought multiple pairs of them, but i know it's A LOT! Might not ever get me in GQ, but I'd never know anyway since I've never picked up their magazine. lol

Just for your information Shane had them Dry Cleaned by the Hotel every night while he was sleeping, I don't think it is anyones business anyway!!!;)

Now, I hope you are not one of those weirdo's who like to collect the clothing of famous people. So I have to ask since you were paying such close attention, was he also wearing the same underwear and socks?

I do the same as Andrew. If I find something that is comfortable, I'll buy a couple. I have my lucky pool shirts.

Craig, I used to collect panties. Yummmy, pantie soup.
FK, I just grossed myself out.

How often does that actually happen?

I noticed the same thing about Shane at the start of day 2, the guy just won $17k at the Seminole tournament, least he could do is buy a second pair of shorts.

Maybe he has a twin brother named Wayne Van Boening and they didn't tell each other what they were gonna wear....man, I'm sure that can be really embarrasing!

Troof, I have seen E wear the same shirt and shorts for a week.....cause he is a "world champion"

I don't shave the day of a sporting event or any time during a tournament......

As long as he is showering and changing his underwear, I'd say Shane is OK in my book :D

I can handle the same pants for a couple of days but the crying that I do during a long match makes it important to change my shirt often.:crying:

Weirdo? Definitely!

Interested is his undergarments...Definitely NOT!...LOL

Shane's game must be almost perfect now if people are commenting on his clothes after a match. Do you guys REALLY care what another guy is wearing, and how often he wears it???? Since when do guys have to abide by the fashion police and wear a different pair of pants every day?? Geesh, how dirty can they be??
You are taking my post waaayyy too seriously!

Shamelessly, I do the same thing...I find a shirt that fits the way I want it to and I buy 5 or 6 of them...then I constantly get the question "Didn't you wear that yesterday?"

...Since when do guys have to abide by the fashion police and wear a different pair of pants every day?? Geesh, how dirty can they be??

If it were me in that match they would have been very dirty!!! Either from sweating my ballz off or sh!tting myself from nerves!!!

I don't think this is a strange question...

I see one of three things:

1. mulitple shirts (not sure about the shorts)
2. lucky shirt after 7 pack first day. (superstition)
3. dry cleaned clothes in hotel.
