Old Guy KO At The Pool Hall

By the way guys, you could see the puncher was positioning himself to throw a right haymaker several times, well before he actually did. He did everything but raise his fist.

That video is a very good lesson on why you don't put your hands behind your back, leaning into a heated up guy perfectly positioned to deck you. The guy who got punched clearly had not been in many fights.

Just what i thought the first time i watched it. If he was such a good boxer why did he offer his hand to shake then sucker him, a real tough guy.

This room has definately changed a ton in the last few years do to a "hip hop" night club directly next door. But in the past and during the tournaments that they have, there has been hundreds of thousands of dollars change hands. I went there for a 4-day tournament in 2004 and ended up staying 5 months because the action was so good. It is hard to believe how this place has changed in the last few years but i guess pool in general has changed for the worse also. I know back then it was common to win or lose 3-7 dimes daily, thats why i couldnt leave. But i couldnt feel comfortable carrying that kind of cash after watching that. Im not even sure if ricky byrd still owns the place, im pretty sure that he wouldnt allow things like this to happen if he did. I hope the man that got hit is not seriously hurt, i hate to see that sort of thing.

Are you from Mckeesport? I used to play at a place in Mckeesport in the eighties.

The puncher is not a drinker at all and is a very quiet soft spoken local, but obviously can turn into a monster very quickly.

Wow. If the lawyers get involved they will have a field day with that.

Boxing background, eh? Luckily he didn't pick on the wrong person. Boxing is an organized sport meant for a ring with a referee. Reminds me of a certain champion mixed martial artist that was made to cry by a female cop when he was dumb enough to get physical with all 5'2" of her. LOL!

ARE You shitting me? you go to play pool and leave a loaded handgun in your case? please tell me that you dont play pool?

Not exactly how I like to concealed carry, but hey to each his/her own. :)

PS, I wouldn't have bragged about it...bragging, brandishing, printing, it's all the same thing... ;)

the man got what he deserved, end of story. he didn't shut up for over 96 hours, I'm shocked it took as long as it did to happen.

I don't know you mckeesport but I know the guy who threw the punches....IMO he is a thoroughbred "red neck" who is always looking for trouble. This isn't the first altercation he's been in. He is constantly trying to prove how tough he is. I use to be the same way when I was a dumb 16 year old.

He is one of the reasons I quit going to Breakers. I've been playing pool for many years at that pool hall and never had two words to say to that guy....I figured him out a long time ago.

The other reason is the poor security... If the other guy (like you said) had been acting obnoxious for 96 hours and no one from management threw him out then there is a huge problem.

I couldn't watch the video but once because I was so pissed... The trashy people egging it on turned my stomach as well.

In my opinion it was totally uncalled for to hit the guy once much less twice.
It was a disguising show of brutality...and we wonder why the sport of pool stays in the gutter...HUH....!

IMO, if the employees of this room were aware that the guy who got punched was annoying patrons for days and they chose to do nothing about it they very likely exposed the business, to legal action.

And if the big guy wearing the red t shirt who led the injured guy away at the end is an employee, I think he may have further exposed the establishment to legal action since he stood by and watched as the whole thing took place.

Properly managing that situation would have prevented it.

A lawyer on behalf of the guy who got hit could have a field day with this going deep into an insurance company's wallet.

And there might even be some personal exposure, say for the puncher who swung twice, who reportedly has a golden gloves boxing background and a history of altercations.

Yep, I believe a lawyer could inflict a one-two punch of his own. :yeah:

New management might be just what this room needs.

best,

Which mma fighter was this?

When I look at the video, between :36 seconds and :38 seconds I see the guy in the white jacket change from feet together, hands behind his back to a more confrontational stance. If you are going to do that, better be ready.

I don't think anybody is going to mess with that bouncer. Big hombre.

OK, Chop, provide a little inside on this one :) A mixed martial artist champion against a 5'2" woman cop, and he lost ??

Hell, Brian Urlacher (Bears liinebacker) ran from a mixed martial artist in a bar because he was smart enough to realize he had no chance.

Shorty should have known better than to stalk someone to avoid a confrontation. Shorty provoked the fight and no lawyer who watches this video is going to even try to make a case out of it...even ambulance chasing lawyers know better.

At the 28 second mark (even possibly when he moved to the long rail) the puncher was setting him up for a right to the melon and he then faked him with a left handed handshake. As soon as the victim moved to a confrontational stance a second later it was over, puncher was cocked and ready. I can hear the victim saying "you put your hands on me when i was talking to you"
