race to 25 2 out of 3 sets

For me personally, I have no interest in watching a match with a spot involved on a stream, does nothing for me, same as these trick shots clips.

I understand what you are saying. I understand that $3,000 is good money to a lot of people, but with a saver it's likely more like $1,000 extra. Second is short-term versus long-term reward. Now that they have a ranking system and call back winners there is advantage to winning even if they have a saver.

I just want to see the whole system to succeed. Once players are chopping and giving up during the matches the whole thing is doomed. It's all about work ethic and where these guys want their sport to go.

Nothing negative towards your opinion, I just hope it does not happen that way.

The problem is Maslow's heirarchy of needs. It's kinda tough to get all altruistic about the betterment of the sport when the rent and car payments are past due.

thats exactly why, if they were 4" or 3 7/8" he wins by more. tight pockets favor him, like long sessions favor you., I think you beat Ja in a race to 250. all due respect.

Have you noticed that no one has ran as many racks on the Diamond built rails with 4 1/8" pockets, compared to your rails that were on the TAR table before they were replaced with the Diamond built rails? Shane ran two 6 packs and a 7 pack as well on your rails, but I think the highest package since the switch in rails is a 3 pack...from a lot of world class players that have played on the TAR table since...including Shane. Ask yourself why?...the pockets on your rails are 4 1/8" also;)

I think the races should be to 100, with an early win option by gaining a 20 game lead on your opponet for a knockout...early win, that'll keep the trailing players attention to stay in the game...or lose early, so no one has to watch a one sided match to a 100;)...could be over on the first day for that matter;)

No, that would be MY chips that don't come back.
Every once in a while, I think I can make a guy fold.....
...but they read me like a book..

pt..<..Brunson never calls me for advice

Cause your rails played soft. Now go look in the mirror and tell yourself how great you are. It's been a while...

How about this, do it in one day.

Single elimination:
15 minute break between sets.
Sets….best 3 out of 5….or 4 outta 7 race length TBD (5-7-9-)?
Lag for who breaks first set....then alternate breaker/racker
Alternate breaker for each set
Alternate racker for each set
Do this till match ends
Use Magic Rack
If both players are tied at two or three sets apiece, tiebreaker (like tennis) coming into play in. Again lag for break and alternate break with first breaker breaking one rack, then opponent breaks two, and two to other opponent till the match end.
Final Match….must win by 2 games or first to 11.
In tournament format;
Finals could be played on two tables, side by side. Have racker rack the second table immediately after first tables rack is completed to speed up breaking of second rack of breakers turn at the table.
24 second shot clock, one 24 second extension allowed per rack

Did someone pull your chain?...once again, you have no idea what you're talking about...,but that's nothing new for you;)

What would be the point of a format that ensures the better player always wins? Isn't the uncertainty what attracts audiences?

Yes. The uncertainty about who the better player is. Otherwise there would be no need of a match.

There is still no unending certainty even if a match is decided by a long set with an ahead requirement, etc. Players change and new players emerge continually.

If you don't want to attract an audience set up the format so unquestionably lesser players can win.

I like that. Best new idea in the thread, so far. That could add plenty of suspense to a match.

Would Earl have knocked out Efren in the Hong Kong showdown rather than ultimately lose? I can't remember how many he was ahead.

Just woke up. I knew that. Need coffee. Thanks for paying attention. You are correct. f off..

Just woke up???? Get your ass to work or to a pool room or something. You should be robbing the guys on the day rate on a day like this. Be ashamed of yourself!!!
