(of course, you don't pay the reward.............it's worked here before....TOO) :)
street smarts win again green rep to you!
I have a friend who also thinks like you!
people never realize how smart you guys are until the fish is hooked:eek: !!!

Just readin' this post, makes me realize every pro should take a digital pic of their cue, they can then post the pic here and when any of us see the cue or case, we can make that needed phone call to the boys in blue.

stolen vs missing

Unlike children that are missing... cues and cases don't have feet to just walk away or get disoriented. If ur cue is not there.. guess what... its stolen. A terrible thing .. good luck in getting them back.

That's What I'm Known For...... WADE FISHING !

That won't work.
I bought a brand new $600 digital camera to replace my disposable cameras. I took it to Planet 9-Ball and while I was laying my cues & cases out on the pooltable, someone stole my new camera.

Now, when I go into a poolroom, I tie 100 lb. test fishing line to my cue (and my wallet) and keep the spools in my pockets. VIOLA !

(there is NO size limit on what you might catch) :)

i think he should pay it! it's not too big a price to pay considering how much he uses those cues. add in the wait time and adjustment time trying to adjust to another cue. and who know the guy who returns them might just have had to steal them from someone else to get them back to him

Great to have you back home and posting. I hope you continue to get stronger (not breath or arm pits) and you can get back into the swing of things again. Johnnyt

Rob is really upset, we left the poolroom in a cab this morning, a friend loaned him a good cue, but like he said he had his cue for 8 years and its just not the same, we sat around the poolrooom for 2 hours talking, he was playing 3C for a while, he plays it good, he is on short $$ now too, i feel terrible for him, I hope the helll he gets his cue back, like he said its personal you can awalys make $$$ back but your cue is more than that. he is a sharp guy. we had alot of laughs despite his mood. I tried to make him smile and promised him I would keep the search alive online, he told me his email addy but i forgot it, PM me if anyone knows it, thanks

this is tough all around. you know who i feel bad for? the guy who buys these cues thinking he's getting a great deal on a good gilbert! everyone's going to think the guys a theif. then he's in a akward position knowing that he's got stolen cues but he's still got his cash invested

i hope who ever stole the cues gets his teeth kicked in

What a bunch of scumbags. I might recognize his cue if I saw it, and i definitely remember his case. Hope Robb gets his stuff back, he deserves it.

And tell him to come back and visit Miami sometime.

Not sure if it is his, but before the match up with strickland on Accu-Stats i heard them say over the loudspeaker that someone had left there cue near table #8

If anything i would contact the tourney director to find out if he knows anything about this

Hope you get your cues back robb!

Steve

I'll be on the lookout for it and I hope everyone here does the same. I talked to Robb right after he lost them and he was really upset, I told him the AZ crew would do what they could. Let's help one of our guys out here and keep our eyes peeled for his stuff. If anyone here sees his cue and/or case we need to make sure to do everything we can to get it back where it belongs.

I just don't get it. I can understand the case and the break cues, but how the heck did he lose his main cue ? You always have someone watch it if you go to the bathroom. Less importantly, this is exactly the reason why you have a lucasi with a 314 shaft. So if it gets stolen, its not such a big deal. You never take your best cue into a den of thieves.

The dang cue was probably sold to some nut for $20.

Rob, if you need cue help, drop me a pm or have someone else pm me.

No disrespect intended to the good people of Chesapeake, but it seems like there are two local businesses that thrive in the area...Dollar Stores and Pawn Shops. Jay Helfert posted last year about the importance of filing a police report and checking the pawn shops. He's right. I made the rounds in Norfolk, 10 miles away from the event center and found nothing, but it would not surprise me if they have been pawned. A police report of stolen cues will generate a fax to all area pawn shops and may turn something up. I urged Rob to make one when I loaned him a replacement cue. I have faith in Rob, but I hope he has enough faith in the world to make the report. Good people deserve better. Rob is strong under pressure, I think he will bounce back. Andy Gilbert is also the best kind of person, I expect he will look out for Rob too.

There should have been a notice posted conspicuously at Q Master in several locations the next day about the "missing" cues and offering a generous reward. That's how you get your cues back in that spot. I've recovered three stolen cues/cases and each time it took a different scenario to accomplish it. Too bad there aren't video cameras at Q Master. I'm kinda surprised in a business that big. I'd never have a poolroom without cameras.
