If Shane isn't the best player in the world than who is?
After the recent US Open, it's either Hohmann or Corteza. Depends on how many points both of them earn. This is based on the current (but not yet updated) WPA ranking.

They have thorsten still in the lead... but the WPA rankings are a joke...
Thorsten got 1170 points for wining the WC 9b... Shane got 413 for winning the us open...
There's no way you can tell me that the WC was worth 3x the points and was 3x more difficult to win as the open.
It's just not the case.
Jaden
...(And Keith is the best anyway)
Here is the only list that matters.
Does this include his TAR winnings?
Yep, its a one on one tournament. It also includes the Mosconi cup exhibition match![]()
And how many times has Shane been featured on TAR?
Also, would it be fair to say that the Chinese, Taiwanese & Filipinos have a lesser chance of increasing their winnings on the "list" that you posted, since they do not participate in the Mosconi cup?

Shane is not the best because he hasn't proved he is the best,
Until he does what Darren and Mika did respectively and dominate the game for the year ot two they did winning everything home soil and abroad then he can be in the discussion, until then he is a fantastci player trying to be the best.
lmao, one of the single dumbest statements ever. Thank you
Go ask Darren and Mika if they would like to play Shane for some more cash like they did the last time that Shane destroyed them.

There doesn't have to be a conclusive "best player". There are a few guys in the conversation that could duke it out on any given day depending on the format and type of game. Shane is definitely one of those guys- perhaps the other guys in the discussion would be Orcollo, Corteza, Biado, Alex P, Hohman (if 14.1 is included), Archer (he played Shane very tough in TAR), Bustamante (same comment as Archer), Earl when his head is on straight (somewhat rare I know), and Morris when he really has it dialed in.
Orcollo, Bustamante, and Archer probably have the greatest capability of bothering Shane- especially in relatively "short" races to 25-30. Alex P probably would be the biggest rival in terms of all around performance.
