To My Friends...

Hello my friends. Well after a bit of thinking I have decided to take a hiatus for a bit to focus on my family and myself. This is not a goodbye by any means at all, I love the game and friends I have made, I just feel its respectful to let people know that I will not be streaming for the next couple of weeks or so and also I wont be on here very much. Any stuff that people have purchased or won for free on OTR will be shipped out during this week. I appreciate all the support I have gotten up to this point and enjoy doing what I can for the game. Right now I feel burnt out and unhealthy, it is affecting not just myself but my family and not to mention my pool game too with the mental aspect of it.

My plans are for some R&R, swimming, mountain biking, and trying to get into a workout routine along with getting back to an old hobby of mine. Some of you know I work from home so I am lucky to have my own hours but with being home and taking care of my kids, the spare time and money I have has been taken up by On The Rail and pool when I have the energy to play but I have been neglecting the bread and butter. I will stop on from time to time to check messages but your best bet is to email me at ontherail@live.com . Thanks everyone for the support once again and see you all again soon.

Hi Lenny;

I have been enjoying your streams since my coming on AzB in a meaningful way the beginning of this year. I often wondered how someone, even with so much love for our sport, could stay in one place and commentate for so many hours in a row. And this doesn't count packing and unpacking your gear, and traveling to and from the venues. The guys who do baseball or football games have a three hour game and pre and post shows to do. Granted, not all of your streams are 30 some odd hour Freezer/Preacher Ronn extravaganzas, but even your basic Kolby's Tuesday nights are lots of hours to stream.

Good for you for realizing the need for a better and healthier balance in your life. I've never met you in person but still consider you a friend.

I will look forward to whatever future streaming or posting you are up for.

Enjoy your family time, R&R, and other hobbies to the fullest extent possible.

Best,
Brian kc

Pool is like a dog.

HEALTHY POST! Kudos to you for having the smarts to know when to get your life back in balance. I understand fully what you are going through and please stay in touch. You are good for pool and pool is good for you.

Pool is similar to a dog. For those who have come to love it, they can abuse it, ignore it or even leave it alone for extended periods of time; when you return it will always be glad to see you.

You've made a lot of friends here Lenny and we'll all be waiting for your return.

WOOF!

Get right Len Dog, fill up your calendar with the things you haven't been doing until those batteries recharge.

I totally empathize. It is quite easy to get beaten up by pool, and hanging out on Azbilliards can sometimes contribute to feelings of discontent. Ask me how I know this. :D

Take care of your two lovely children and beautiful wife. When the dust settles, they will be there for you. ;)

Good move Lenny.. Family and your health is something I'd suggest no one takes for granted.. I have learned some lessons from a serious health issue that I am battling but it's made me a better person. Good to hear you are taking care of the important things first.. Pool is great but there are much bigger things IMHO..

Peace, JoeyK

Hey Lenny, good for you bud!! A break from all the OTR stuff is deserved! Have some fun with the kiddos and the wifey. Of course, I look forward to the return of the stream, but you gotta put priorities first.

Heck, maybe even take a little jaunt up to Havasu and unwind with the family. We'll all be here you ya return (like Smorg would say waiting with bait on our breath - lol).

Lenny,

I've enjoyed watching your stream. Everyone needs a break from the game for awhile. So enjoy, relax and have fun! A system that I use that has worked for me over the years is to take the summer off from pool (the game not the swimming hole) :)

Kudos to you ,Lenny. We all feel like your one of our best friends and have
enjoyed everything you have done for us and AZ pool. Stop by the regionals
at Fort Mcdowell and say hello. I've got a Dedicated Flipper I've been wanting
to give you but I haven't been to Kolby's in a while. So when you say ,"Heads,"
you'll have something classy to flip. I attached a picture and will carry it until I
see you again. I know you have a #1 family but I hope you consider all of us
a #2 family.

Lenny,

Great post. As the most interesting man in the world says: "stay healthy my friend" (or is that "stay thirsty my friend" :)?). Whatever, you get what I'm saying. Come back when you can enjoy it again, you've been through a lot this last month.

Dave

I sure hope we dont have to look at that Avatar too much. May all your posts soon wind up on the previous page!

I've enjoyed the streams Lenny. Many thanks for those. But DO take care of yourself.

whenever you're on the road , my friend
wherever you may roam
we'll all be here when you get back
to wish you
WELCOME HOME !

Dude!?!?

What are you thinking? The party is over? Damn. Wives, kids, jobs, responsibilities-can't they leave us alone??

Lenny-take as long a break as is called for. We will miss your postings and ALL that you do in and for the Pool Community.

Be good to yourself and those you hold dear.

The poolroom and its 'usual suspects' will always be here. When the time is right, hurry back.

Some of us regret not taking the type of 'home-front' hiatus that you see as timely.

The best to you and your family.

Thanks for everthing-catch ya later.

Take care.
