A lot of them stopped carrying Duo-Fast wide crown staples as well. I used to be able to get 1/4" for the rails and 3/8" for pocket leathers at Home Depot in the carpet section, but they are getting harder and harder to find there.

A lot of them stopped carrying Duo-Fast wide crown staples as well. I used to be able to get 1/4" for the rails and 3/8" for pocket leathers at Home Depot in the carpet section, but they are getting harder and harder to find there.
The Arrow staples in the blue and Yellow boxes still work in the Duo-Fast.
Alot of the Home Depots I've been in the last couple of months tend to have them reduced for clearance in the tool section.

Edit: maybe it was NOT good weed. Maybe it was ditch weed. We had a lot of that in this area back in the 70's.

Looks like an apparatus to square and set the rails.
Guessing the 2 short metal plates are 1 7/16" for checking nose height.
looks like a jig to hold a rail still so you can insall rubber like a third hand. The to steel plates fit into the feather strips to secure it what keeps it from slideing side to side. I think you use 2 rail bolts and it locks up on the angeled plates to lock it it in while steaching the rail rubber.

This is an actual tool made in the early 60s by Brunswick. There is two of these to a set! Not one of my most used tools but i think you guys will appreciate it!

Perhaps a jig to set rubber with ??
Make me a set and I can use it tweak it then come back with an answer. I havespent to many hours in the hot sun this week lost 20lbs and hope I dont find it. Since you said a pair I'm at a lost maybe its to remove rubber..

I think it's for cutting sub rail liners to size. Plates hold the rail and set the depth of the featherstrip notch to proper depth. scratch that it's not 9o deg of the angle but But now I'm thinking of a few jigs I can make to speed up set up time.

O.K, this was a tough one! These are factory Brunswick Snooker cushion jigs. On american snooker tables Brunswick used full profle cushion. This tool allowed them to shape the cushion with out the added snooker bends.
Remember, full profile cushion is shaped from the backside unlike true snooker step cushion which is shaped from the front.
You insert cushion nose down in jig, cut taper using the steel rails as guides. Viola! That's it! One for side and one for corners. Have had them for quite a while, even have the box they came in!
