This is a heads up to anyone considering buying anything from Brianna Cues.

I bought a jump break cue for 230.00 on 2/24 It arrived surprisingly fast within 2 days. I took it out that night. It didnt jump very well and didnt break very well but on the 7th break the bottom fell off. There were many people in the pool hall that witnessed this and were in disbelief.

I contacted lee about it (at brianna cues) and he said he couldnt believe it. And that he would ship another one. But I told him that it didnt jump very well or break very well for a jump break so I would just like a refund and I'll ship him the cue back. He hung up on me.

I shipped the cue back to him anyway with tracking. He received it over a week ago. Still no refund. He wont respond to any of my emails I send him. He also will not answer the phone. Oh and still no refund of 230.00

I'm aware that a) posting this will get flamed for stuff not regarding this post and b) that after he reads this my .01% chance of ever getting a refund is lowered even further.

Looks like im stuck 230.00 for taking a risk with this guys cues. Hopefully noone else takes the chance. I just cant believe any businessman would sell something that falls apart on the same day and hangs up on someone after they request a refund... and then completely ignores all forms of contact. Ostrich cues. We stick our head in the sand and act like everything is OK.

LOL - You're surprised? Lee is good at one thing - taking people's money..... His business ethics suck, he's unoriginal, and just looks to hustle someone's cash.

Sorry, but you shouldn't have bought from him in the first place. There are entirely too many cuemakers out there that will stand behind their product.

Won't do anything for your monetary loss, but one of Erik Lee's J&J jump/break cues for $60 shipped is a sweet deal.

Exactly.

This is not Lee's first low life move. I'm suprised he gets as much business as he does. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Amazing, how a low life like that can get through life without someone he scammed showing up one day and.......

I feel for your loss there. I guess i should consider my first and so far only custom cue purchase a great one Thanks again Brent.

As for this guy, all I can say is someday his karma will run out and catch up with him...

To bad to hear!
I´m from Sweden and I deal/collect cues some here and Ivé been looking for a supplier to buy tips, wraps, dvd´s, different parts etc from, I´m doing this just as a hobby and don´t need so much so I have looked around AZ to find someone that can deliver "most" of the stuff so I don´t have to get it shipped from a lot of places - expensive.
Now I have talked to Chris at Hightower cues and I´m just writing up a list of stuff that I want.
I have also looked at Brianna´s and "almost" went on and bought some stuff from there - and I read this! I´m lucky!! Thx for sharing this, I had know idea.

Maybe best to ask if Chris is a stand up guy? From talking with him and seeing his posts he seems good?!
I surely hope that you get your money back!
Best regards

Chrippa

Chris is the most stand-up guy I've encountered here on AZ. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies from him and he's always more than happy to answer any questions and resolve any type of technical issues I've run across. Your money is well invested with Hightower products.

I have also bought equipment and supplies from Chris and he is one of the greatest to deal with. He stands behind his "great" products and will help you out on the phone. Deal with Chris and sleep well...

Thanks for the warning. I was ready to buy some stuff from him. Will look at somewhere else.

Sorry about your misfortune. I am sure a lot of other readers will benefit also.

Brianna

Hello I would remind you guys that Lee and his group are probably in the midst of the valley forge expo which they attend each year around this time. I have never had any problems with Lee or anyone else at Brianna in fact they have gone out of their way on a couple occaissons for me relaive to customer service- I don't really know them but in the interest of fairness I wanted to mention my own expeience.

Having said that it sounds like you have a legimate concern and I'm not trying to imply otherwise. I think he will do what is fair if you give him the chance

I also know how frustrating it is when no one responds to you and I'm surprised Brianna has made no response to this point
I wish you well and hope your problem is resolved to your satisfaction

Ragboy74 & Cueguy. Thx a lot for your inputs - sounds reassuring.
Havn´t learned yet to give rep, quote several inputs etc but I surely appreciate your answers! since joining AZ I have been at my computer every night and reading and learning about cues, makers etc and this has been so fun that I havn´t taking the time to learn everything - but it will come:-).

He pulled a "fast one" on me too!

Yes he is one shady mofo! I bought a whitten case from him for a buddy of mine. he sent me an email with the price ( which was a very good deal), I said I'll take it and then paypal'd the funds. a little while later I get an email with all kinds of excuses about how he mistakingly gave me the "wrong" price on the case and that the "real" price was about 75 dollars higher... Well, being new to transactions on AZ at the time and knowing that I WOULD NOT GET THE CASE unless I sent the difference. I went ahead, caved in, and sent the extra money. The case was now a good deal instead of a great deal. To top it off he told me that because of "HIS ERROR" he would throw in a few "extra" items in the box to "make it right" Guess what?????? ZERO, ZIP, NADA !!! Nothing extra was included in the packaging. What a lying piece of crap IMO. When I contacted him about the missing "extra items" he of course explained it as yet another oversight but he would give me some ridiculously low (as in minimal) discount on my next purchase... yeah right! In retrospect had I not paid the extra to get the case and just said never mind, would I have even got my money back? We will never know the answer to that of course.

But I guess I should thank him for clearing one thing up for me... now I NEVER HAVE TO CONSIDER BUYING OR RECOMMENDING ANYTHING FROM HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

BTW come on and chime in here Lee, I can't wait to hear your response!

Do a search of these forums and there's several of these types of threads....it's not an isolated incident.

I guess going out of someone's way in the form of customer service is offering to sell someone maintenance pins at a reduced price to replace ones bought earlier from Lee that didn't have the inserts lined up with the sleeves, and that he referred to as "old junky ones we used to stock"?

Stay away from used car salesmen!

Yeah that sounds screwed up. I could understand posting something for $100 and meaning $1000, because its a typo, one zero missing. Obviously most people would apologize and not sell at a $900 loss. But to be off $75 is not a typo and he should have honored his price. At minimum he should have sent the extras in another shipment if he truly forgot them. He appears to have no honor.

In my opinion, there is no reason to hang up on someone who bought
something from you and is not satisfied. I mean, you just cant do that.
Period.
