In all fairness it would be mathmatically stupid for Keith to play, unless only for the fact of setteling this or for everyones enjoyment. Someone on here or maybe Keith himself said he is playing poker for $10k, $20k, or $30k a day? The most he is going to win playing is $80k at $20k a set like he said, plus he's taking agamble at that.

If he plays for $10K-$30K a day in poker then I play for Hundreds of thousands a day.

<-------me thinks his online poker monetary conversion scale is broken.

He may be playing tournaments that pay out 10, 20 or 30k a day but I highly doubt he is actually putting that much of his own cash into play every day. In fact, I will go as far as to say no chance......

Seems to me that kieth buying into a 5 dollar multi table that pays 10k out doesnt equate to playing for 10k a day. if thats sooo i played and lost 50K today

Not wanting to high-roll any here, but I played in a free-roll for the 1,000,000 tournament at 888.com last year. And lost on the first hand. Imagine blewing 1,000,000 on the first hand, on 7-2...

But I do it ALL the time.

I like Marvin Gayes version...since its his song, LOL

I wanna bet on Bartrum...I seen his action, he takes the heat real good. I know Im suppose to pull for the old guy but even this old mutt knows when to say when.

I voted for Bartram, but with a little odds on the money I would bet on McCready.

I guess there is still some power left in that horse, and with some time on the practisetable it could be a fun match to watch.

But most of all I would love to watch Keith and Billy Incardona do a battle together...

Bartram or McCready

i know you dont think im a player.
tell me how many in the usa i cant beat?

I know your a world class player and has as much gamble as anyone. You are probably in the top 50 in the USA and are able to beat anybody in a race to eleven tournament.

Barking at Keith and a few others on this thread does bother me. Keith doesn't play anymore and you should leave it at that. Please bark at your peers in the top 50 in the USA. I know you have a ton of gamble and I would pay to watch you play on TAR against a tough opponent. You just need to bark at another player who will bark back.

You and Keith do have one thing in common and that is you fear no one. This is a quality that few players have.

Please answer one question for me: Where do you rate yourself with the other USA players?

Keith called Chris a dog and said he cant play a lick. Chris responded, like anyone would, that he would play Keith. I would say Chris hardly called out Keith, until Keith called him a dog. So what youre saying is that it bothers you that Chris stuck up for himself and told someone that doesnt think he can play, that he would play him? WOW! I am offended that you didnt take the time to read the whole post and call Keith out for calling Chris a dog! Its Ok for one person to call someone a dog and say they cant play, but its not ok to defend yourself and tell that person to bet???

If I am not mistaken, JAM woofed at Chris, Chris said bet, then Keith barked at Chris, Chris said bet.

I could be wrong, which seldom happen, but if that's the case I apologize.

Something like that. So what do you think Chris should have done? If someone that cant beat me (which is hard to find) came out and said I was a dog and couldnt play a lick, I would call them out too. Also, if you ever hear me say that someone cant play a lick, and they tell me to bet, I am going all in. My winning percentage is HIGH when I get in the box, BET!

Boys, boys, boys, you guys are too much on this Internet. It seems like to me there's a lot of football being played. You all sit at the end of the bench, guard the water bucket, and tackle anybody that comes near it. :D

You all really know how to wing it on this forum. If I was playing at all, I would sure play Chris Bartrum some because I know he can't hurt me on a 4-1/2 by 9, especially a tight box.

Chris can say all the things that he wants to, how I couldn't do this, how I couldn't do that, how Alex Pagulayan would rob me on a 9-footer when I was in my prime, but there's one thing for sure, back in my day, Alex would have had a war and had his hands full.

The only difference between me and Chris Bartrum is that I spotted all the champions, and meanwhile, every champion that came through there got broke.

When I decide to start playing again, I'm going to take Billychips up on his offer, and we are going to bet high and let the best man win.

I'm leaving the football field now, boys, and I'm going to let you guys go ahead and tackle somebody else. So good luck to you, and when I come back in my reincarnation, I'm going to return as a cueball and give all you guys a bad roll.

One more thing Keith and Chris have in common: They have balls!!!!

yes i dog my money off all the time.

Doubt it, heard too much about ya. But Keith put something out there that can get at a guys head and he did so with the idea of a 5 digit bet and how you would react.

You might dog it, you might go into a zone and shoot the lights out for that kind of cash. All I want is a chance to see this match and I don't really care who comes out on top, my side bet on Keith will be peanuts compared to 5 digits and just a way to sweat the match a little. Whether I win or lose a $100 bet on a match like this I will have got my moneys worth either way.

One thing though, Keith is not a rare breed, he is an extinct breed. People like him, Louis Roberts, and a few other people from older times bet it up and put it all on the line like noone of today does. They just don't build pool players like that anymore and I think Keith knows that as well as anyone and he likes his chances because there are no players out there today that seem to have the fearlessness to play for the kind of money he is talking about here and still shoot the lights out. He comes from a era where a true gambler would put his entire net worth on the line on a single football games outcome. Heck SVB and Busta for 5k becomes a match of who misses less, not who runs out more. Keith back in the day would have robbed anyone for the big cash if the money got to them like that and that is what he is putting out there and what I would be betting on even with a older Keith. There are guys from that era that were not fazed by the cash like I see people of today getting.

But, you go out into a match like this and shoot right near the top of your game Chris, Not only will you have a really good chance to win the match you will get a ton of respect being able to step out and play for that kind of money and play dead solid for the truly huge cash you don't see people playing for anymore. No matter how this match turned out it would be good for pool and it would be a great story.

I remember last year or the year before at the DCC Shane was going to play Efren 10 ball and Efren refused. Dont hold me to this but I am almost certain of it. Efren would have played with a spot I bet so does that make him 2nd tier?

Does the top tier consist of a single player? When Dennis Orcollo was offereing to gamble anyone in the world was everyone in the world but him second tier?

The way I see the tiers of pool is that there are a group of players that on any given day are pretty much an even match, a virutal coin flip. Souquet, Immonen, SVB, Busta, Wu, Orcollo, ect... these guys and their peers who are the virtual coin flips against them are the first tier.

The second tier is the guys who have a sporting change to beat the top tier, but in no way are they an even money bet and they don't have a coin flips chance, and on AZBilliards if Chris Bartram was playing anyone I mentioned on that first list or their peers in a sufficiently long set in the WPC or a long ahead money set noone on AZB would be offering even money even odd bets on Chris's side. Thus, he is at least 1 teir below.

You take any of those guys from that first list against each other in a long set such as knockout brackets of the WPC and you will find action both ways if you want it because they are all pretty close to a dead heat. They are the first tier.

Good points. That's kinda what I was talking about but was waiting for someone else to write it.
