WPBA why top players were gay?

I think that is some good advice from LAMas. Here is one alternative I have seen. A relative of mine is a lesbian. For the most part she looks like (and is) an athlete. She is a mountain climber, scuba diver and does many other things. Most men see here as “very” athletic. I think that most women her age are more than aware of her sexual orientation. Something about the way she makes eye contact with potentially attractive partners and her physical presence. Guys would say she walks like a man but there is more to it than that.

She has few if any problems in our large extended family as those who choose not to know about her preferences can simply ignore them. One of her aunts noted that, “ she does wear and ear ring you know.” And that put that discussion to rest.

She is not shy about her sexuality but avoids many of the problems with her “athletic” ways.

At one time I was working with a highly intelligent lesbian teenager and was trying to persuade her to “give boys a try.” She stopped me cold when she said, “I’ll try boys if you will try them too.” Shut me up on the spot.

This thread was not meant to be a why gay thing but why they seem to have been the better players in the past 10 years.
K.Corr
K.Fisher
A. Fisher

.Just to name a few.

Ummm.... might want to rethink Corr (NO), one of the Fishers (No), other Fisher (not sure).

The top players are gay, for one simple reason, they prefer the company of women over men.

But, I like Jay's answer too.

I could care less whether the players are gay or not. I enjoy watching a good match with some great shot making and positional play. What they do or don't do in private is their business. I don't think less of anyone if they're gay. Can't help what you are - you can only control what you do. If you're a good person, being gay or not is of no consequence. The same thing goes for the color of your skin or what religion you practice.

Joe:

Don't you think there are many homosexual and bi-sexual MEN in all of professional sports, also? I'm not taking sides here; I'm just trying to be fair.

Roger

yup, and most are offensive centers with tight end being another desirable position

I just think the whole thread here (as ever with this sort of question) has been to some extent hijacked. I have no clue about the reasons behind the original question, not sure anyone really does or ever will.

So the best thing to say is I simply enjoy watching the Women play and most players that I have met are just great people, especially Kelly, Alison and Helena. My wife just loves watching Kelly and we finally caught up with her at a Tournament earlier in the year. During that tournament we spent a few hours talking with her (and her partner) between games and of course my wife now has an even bigger girl crush on Kelly (no not like that:rolleyes:) simply put Kelly is just a really nice person.

I fact, thinking about it, most Pro Pool players are very approachable, a lot more so than many other sportsmen or women and that's a really good thing!

Is a woman gay because she doesn't want to have sex with every man that wishes she would?

2 woman travel together as road partners. Gay? What about 2 men traveling together? Gay?

To me it doesn't matter. Everyone needs someone either way.

i think if they'd like having sex with the road partners that might be what makes them gay and not just traveling buddies

Anybody that enjoys watching pool would of seen this. It's only the World Pool Championships.

I just skimmed the video. What am I looking for? Nevermind, I assume you mean the big hug he gives the girl after he wins.

I guess it could be his sister, even though I'm sure it's not. However, he does go high-five a bunch of guys right after that ... Just sayin' :p

oooh oooh I know I know pick me!!!!11!

Let me start by saying that this is not a homophobic thread.
I was thinking about it last night after reading another thread in NPR about Homosexuals.
Why do you think the top women players were gay for the past 10 years?

The same reason anybody else is gay. Because they hate families. And Jesus. And America.

Straight or gay, they are top pool players and if you're a pool fan or player that is all you should care about. Johnnyt
