Steve - Great to reconnect! Hope you're well. I remember you, of course. Didn't you also have a Scruggs Titlist?

I'm embarrassed to say that I lost touch with Mitch after the Post closed. We had lunch once after that, I believe, since Mitch was nearby working for Fred's dry cleaning business. If you're still in touch with him, say hi please.

Both books sold pretty well -- although they're both pretty old now. Just saw Babe Cranfield's widow, Ruth, and his son, Larry, up in Syracuse.

For the first time in my life, I joined a pool league - a straight pool league at Amsterdam Billiards. Are you still playing?

Thanks for bringing up Jim Abel. I still see Paul Fields once in a while at Amsterdam.

I check my email (address below) often, if you ever want to make arrangements to meet at a poolhall or get a slice at Nicky's on Mamaroneck!

Take care,
Larry (cell 646-824-0784; email lsm@outtengolden.com)

Larry, it's Steve Kinsella, Mitch Kaufman's friend. I worked at Executive and played with a Huebler cue. How the heck are you?
Jamie, you must have a hard on for the world for you to slander me on a public forum. You don't even know me and you disrespected me for no reason. You seem to me you enjoy lashing out on people just to get your rocks off. The only time we ever have done anything was at Dan Tulls pool room in Olatha, you must of been unhappy because I didn't lose more money to you. I've said what I wanted to say, just don't direspect me again.
Hey David - It was great to see you and your brother in Alvin. Hope to see you next year, if not sooner. The CCC was a very enjoyable tourney for me and my wife, Paula.
Those photos you took of the CCClassic were some of the best photos I've seen of a pool tournament in a long time. They really captured the atmosphere. I love seeing what's happening behind the scenes and who's who. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing them!
It's a boring head, as stated in the text of the post. Easy to find if you look on line.
Saw your post about Jimmy Abel. I used to play in White Plains and knew Jimmy also. He was a very good guy, and very knowledgeable about pool and life. You're right he did have a Jedi master sort of way about him. As you probably know, he was also an expert hypnotist and knew a lot about a lot of different subjects. I saw part of that 24-hour pocketing record at Executive Billiards in White Plains. Jimmy was explaining to me afterwards about how caught a rhythm by playing so fast and for so long.

Jimmy also wrote a good book about pool, although it hasn't been circulated widely.

He was an all-around nice guy, interesting, smart, and great pool player and teacher. Thanks for bringing him up in your post.

Take care,
Larry Moy
For anyone considering Steve for doing a refinish on your cue (or any work for that matter), they don't come any better...He's a great guy to deal with, he does FANTASTIC work and one helluva a guy to talk to...

My light project proved challenging enough but had to use what I had at the time. My dad donated the electrical wire and all I had to buy was the track, connector, remote dimmer, and something to fish the wire thru. Three weekends later, the project was finally done. I will try new bulbs to help get the shadows closer to the rails, but anticipate building a lamp system like yours.
