larry is a great player and im sure your not a bad guy either.

maybe ill meet you someday supernova and buy you a beer and you will see im just another poolplayer trying to make it in pool. im not the best in the world never said i was,im just trying to make games no biggie.

take care and see you at derby maybe

We've met, a few times actually. My name is Patrick. I was the sales rep for the TrueStroke a couple years back. We hung out a little at Valley Forge and in Vegas during BCA Nationals. In person you seemed like a good guy. Your, IN MY OPINION, self-absorbed attitude on here is what makes me dislike you though.

great post neil

I have to hand it to John for making the statement he did. Not many would, and I can't think of anyone else on here that would. He never stated that he would beat everyone at that game, just that he was willing to play, win or lose. Why anyone would get down on him for that, I just don't understand. I don't see those offended by his statement getting up there and offering to play anyone. I think it takes a lot of heart to get up there and play anyone, especially when you know you are going to lose some of the matches. Kudos to you John!

And, to those of you that think 14.1 is only a practice game, that is because that is all some are willing to play it as. It's tougher than 9 ball is, just not as fast a game. It isn't played as much today, because todays society is based on instant gratification. Most don't have the patience to play a longer game. They won't even play 9 ball to a decent race. It's all short races.

accurate post neil thanks.

Because it's just my opinion that he will lose. Nothing in this world is a lock. If it was then it wouldn't be GAMBLING.

Really? I did not know that. Like he said, he's just a pool player trying to make it in pool and make a few games. IMHO, to make a challenge like that isn't arrogant, it shows that he has stones. Like Ric Flair used to say, "To be the man, You gotta beat the man." And he may or may not win, but at least he's got the stones to go out there and give it his best - against anyone. Why he is being bashed for that is beyond me. He has nothing but respect from me.

i think you and john s are the same you say what you feel.
on here i think he takes stuff personal which imo you cant or you will be mad at a lot of people.
not every one is going to like you or pull for you and thats what i like.
to me i like when some one does not like my side of a game thats what makes action.
if you know john he is a good dude.
win or lose a good person to play i just wish i thought i could beat him even.lol

I'm not gonna lie, I liked you more when you were fat. It gave me hope.

Just curious, do you think you could beat John even on a bartable?

one more thing when you go into battle with some one for big money which me and john s did.
you find out what kind of person they are .
when you get some one stuck their true colors come out good or bad
thats when i gained respect for john is when we battled.

Yeah, I think you're right.

Speaking of bartables, you know yet if you're going to make it to the Olympia Open next month?

On this particular thread John has been pretty humble and has not disrespected anyone. Your continued posts like this seem little more then an attempt to poke the tiger with a stick through the cage to try and get a reaction. People do it constantly to Earl as well in real life just to see the Earl show. It is lame in both instances. Why continue 100+ posts later to needle him? Leave it alone.

Yeah, if you're looking gamble then Wisconsin is the last place to be. lol.

I'm just posting my opinions. You don't like it, don't read it.

Chris,
I'm just real impressed that you stand shoulder to shoulder with your friends. You're to be commended.

You mention that John is a good dude. It's no big secret on AZB that my two favorite active American players are Shannon Daulton & John Schmidt.
And my biggest impression of John is not how great a player he is (and he IS!). He has a skill that makes him one of a handful of what can be called "dominant players." But what struck me the most about him was how soft spoken, humble and unassuming a man he is. He can woof with the best of them. His comments when he gets riled up are some of the funniest lines you'll ever hear. But that's just a small part of who he is. He's got a great heart and he's not stuck on himself at all. He is a good man and has a lot of drive in him. He would be a successful man at whatever he chose to pursue.

Whether he played great pool or not, it's still an honor to have a friend of that ilk.

sounds great call me.

i have to leave town on the 8th but before that im wide open.
