Forget losing the $10,000 thats old news,


About 20 minutes ago I was eating cashews and thought there was a shell in there. It wasnt......It was only half of my back molar tooth, My tooth split right down the middle, I have a 8 hour deposition tomarrow, I'm 10 dimes light and now Have 1/2 tooth in the back of my mouth. How good are things rolling for me??? I hate to whine but man I can only take so much. I just lose $$$ into thin air and my teeth are falling out like I'm a crack smoker. Maybe I should start smokeing crack, and running with whores. Why not??? I still be in the same spot broke and toothless, and even better I'd have a cool war story or too.

Hehe, I feel for you man, but just a little bit. Crap times come to all of us, but at least at the end of the day you can soak in one of your hot tubs or swim laps in your pool while getting splashed by your waterfall... hehe, I have seen pictures of your house man, you can only cry so much!

Even so, I hope things pick up for you!
 
Just started reading Chronicles/Dylans book and one of his acquaintences, Mr. B (Balzac, page 46) said horde your energy, that's the secret to life, you can learn allot from it.
Mr B wears a monks robe and drinks endless cups of coffee, too much sleep clogs his mind. "One of his teeth falls out, and he says,''what does this mean?'', he questions everything, his cloths catch fire on a candle, he wonders if fire is a good sign, Balzac is hilarious.

Eric it is not that I don't feel bad that you are having a run of bad luck but this post got me laughing. My week is getting better I am no longer having to take pain pills for my ankle fusion so I am back to my self mentally. Now if I can get off these crutch's maybe I can play a little one pocket. GOOD LUCK
 
It appears as if you are having one of those bad streaks that occasionally happen. I ran into one of those a few years back. Everything just seemed to be failing, breaking, or falling apart. It seemed as if the only communication from my wife was telling me about something else that wasn't working. It came to a boiling point when she said the garage door wasn't opening as I was in the process of repairing something. I was about ready to crack and almost in tears asking what is next? There is nothing left. As I flip the switch to turn on the light the bulb blew. All I could do was laugh, went to the fridge, got a beer and thought life is great.

Chance are your worse day (like mine) is probably better than 99% of the worlds populations best day.

Lost a large filling and the cap off a molar a few months back. My dentist told me $800 for a new filling and cap. Such a deal he was giving me! I headed out to the Philippines two weeks later and visited a local dentist. He asked me if I wanted something temporary or permanent. How much I asked. Temporary filling would set me back 600P (about $14), permanent filling and cap was 1,800P (about $42). Bottom line, he did a great job!

the Dentist in ASIA are much cheaper and better too. I have a broken Bone on my Feet:angry:and have to ship 20cm Snow on my BIZ Area:eek:

I hope things look up for you, but don't forget to put that broken piece of tooth under your pillow tonight, broken teeth are worth double!!:smile:

I have done the same thing, but mine did not fall out, it just split. I had to have a Gold Crown put in to stablize it, cost me $1800, but the worst part was the pain dam thing hurt like hell. But on the bright side the Doctor gave me a perscribtion for 40mg OxyContin, dam pills certainly worked for the pain but man they put me on ass. The Dentist had me taking these things 3 times a day for 7 days, after 4 days I just did not need them anymore, but man those things will give you one hell of a Buzz.

A few weeks ago my lower left back molar worked loose in its socket. Didn't really hurt but was annoying to try to use. Went to the dentist... he found the the tooth had a broken off root and needed to come out. Pretty good dentist as he was able to deal with the tooth and root extraction in short order.

Then it hurt. A couple of days afterward the gum on that side of my mouth shifted and exposed my jawbone on the inside. It was sharp as a razor and cutting my tongue. Also the three teeth forward of the now missing molar became incredibly cold sensitive. Dentist again, ground off most of the sharp edge of my exposed jawbone but there was nothing he could do for the three sensitive teeth except provide me several sample tubes of Sensodyne.

More jaw bone became exposed a couple of days later and I removed two jagged chunks myself.

A couple more days and those three teeth were no longer cold sensitive but I started having horrible cramps in that area. It was as if something in there was tying knots in my jaw. Finally that subsided and the most forward of those three teeth decided it was time to give me some REAL pain. A few days of pain pills later, the tooth simply quit hurting.

Eric, the moral is - removing the remains of that molar may cause you all kinds of hell but eventually that too shall pass. :D

That seems about right. Was it a Gold Crown 1? :D

Approximately 7 years ago I was by myself fishing on my Rooster boat (a story in itself) and as I was snacking on a big fat pretzel I felt my molar crack in half. I panicked for approximately 30 seconds then continued to fish. ;)

Got to my dentist the next day and he installed a metal post, built up some material on it, ground, buffed and polished her up and I was good to go. He said it would probably last a year or two. It's been seven or eight and all is well.

GL Eric, some good rolls are due. :thumbup:

Eric, If you only knew my problems. I would trade places with you today as soon as you want. I have a feeling that you would want your problems back.
