NO Match for Harriman/Schmidt

two things:

- in court, you can't take action against someone based on the assumption that it "might" occur

- i'm pretty sure that 6'6" JUSTIN, would be THE BEST deterrent in the room

- wearing STR8 SHOTS logo would have been fantastic advertising

(ok, that was 3)

Lee...I hope you're not suggesting that you're the only qualified person to teach anybody...let alone junior players...the proper fundamentals. We already have one guy here promoting the "my way is the ONLY correct way" philosophy. Randy and I have been teaching "proper" fundamentals since before you were in diapers. :D

By taking this stance you also took away from the juniors being taught properly by me and becoming future champions, not saying some won't be, but i could of changed the way there fundamentals where taught to them at a young age.

See? There's proof right there. Trash talking sells. Five minutes ago I couldn't give a crap about Scrabble. Now I want to see JAM v Spidey live. Make it happen, Justin.

I'll crunch her nuts all day long w/ 3 and 4 letter words because I'd be bricking the board on every turn and never opening up access to any squares of any value unless I was the one landing on them. She'd be spotting me the Z, Q and X while I was dropping double-doubles on her. The bag wouldn't even be half-empty before she was asking for a buy-out.

It's sad how we have to talk about Scrabble action because Str8 Shots killed our pool action.

Since there's nothing to see here anymore, party at Spidey's tonight. Halloween costume is required>>>

i was not refering to you personaly although your post seems to imply you took it personal. i never implied you were out to screw anyone and for that matter i dont think str8shots is out to screw you either.

i do agree with your view of competition.

what i do not agree with is your assumption that mark and str8shots were aware of the hatred john and danny have for each other.
just because most posters in this thread are aware does not mean every one who visits this forum was aware.

just like most in this thread is not aware of mark working for str8shots and exactly what is str8shots. yea i know they have not been here as long as you but the same logic still applies. i was aware of what they are doing for a while so i have what i feel is a better understanding of what they are trying to accomplish.

I will just say that you are correct in that there are some things that you are not aware of. When you talk about TAR you are talking about me. Good or bad I am responsible for it so when you mentioned the idea that some people may think once people play for TAR they shouldn't play for someone else I wanted to point out how that is not case.

After some reflection I am confident Str8 shots as an organization is not out to screw me. The tone of the OP and some things that have happened behind the scenes in the past unrelated to Str8 Shots struck a chord with me this morning and I was pissed. I wish John and his sponsor good luck.

If the pro players that are contracted only get their entry fees paid (and I don't know if that's all they get) and they will be told they can't play in some PPV, money match, or some other reason, then I believe they got screwed yet again. Johnnyt

PS: I wonder if they will be barred from AZB.

Not sure what you are talking about here but the way some people are putting words in my mouth I want to be clear I never said Danny and John should have a fist fight.

They should have a baseball bat with nails in it and trashcan lid fight ala Escape From New York.

In all seriousness, people saying I just want to do this match for the drama dont know me very well. I have my reasons for wanting to do it. I outlined them in the OP of my offer thread.

Now we just need Photoshop...

I can't wait until more is revealed about Str8 Shots. The OP is a genuinely nice person whose intentions are pure. Someday, as we all become more familiar with Str8 Shots, there may be a change of heart. Maybe if you were to know more about the OP and this organization, you, too, just might want to enjoy reading about their future activities on this forum and elsewhere. :)

Maybe, but it's no way to start on AZB. Johnnyt

Looks like we wont get to see John and Danny with the spiked baseball bats and trash can lids. But all hope is not lost for the blood sport junkies out there. We have the next great rivalry to look forward to:

DISCLAIMER: This post is a joke. No forum members were harmed in the making of this professional quality photo composite. If you prefer to have John hit Lou in the head with a spiked baseball bat please reverse the image. I just thought the look on Lou's face was about what it would really look like if he ever did hit anyone with a spiked baseball bat in a fight to the death for the amusement of the Duke of New York. A #1.

This is just st8 shots trying to feel important. What a bad "business" move. I don't get why any player ever signs up to be owned by these silly companies. This TaR match would be good for Johns pool career.

John please please please join this discussion.

I wonder if str8shots would have put a halt to this match had it been, say, Accu-Stats who offered both players the same package as TAR...

80%

this is way off base. Justin didn't make any innuendos about a charity scam. He simply said that doing stuff for charity can be very lucrative. That can be the case without being a scam. I've seen a ton of "charity" poker tourneys and golf tourneys that are advertised as charity and give away 10% to charity (which is noted in the promotion so it doesn't deceive anyone) and they make a ton on the other 90%.

Is it a bit deceptive, probably, but only to those that don't fully read the event structure or the fine print, which is the case with a lot of people.

I get called unethical all the time because I provide people that can't get a loan anywhere else collateralized loans on their goods. They ask me how I can sleep at night and I usually tell them that I have a really expensive machine that simulates the sound of the ocean.

It has to be 20% to the charity to qualify as a 501 charitable organization with tax exempt status, which is usually all they're about anyways.
