As far as finish goes, some people use different products. I use a latex sealer, which feels completely different than most finishes people use. Latex actually soaks in to the wood. I use a 3 part system for polishing after I put the latex sealer . 300 grit 600 grit 1200 grit and a micro mesh 2000 grit in some cases depending on how well I am compensated, but the 2000 is like $5 a sheet and you can use it like once and a half.

If you want a tip put on Im all for, I would like to get the cost of a tip and $10 for the labor. Ill refinish for that price for a penny.

I do it with most of the shafts I send out too, It wouldn't bee all that hard for someone to take a shaft that they sell with say a moori, and replace it with a cheaper tip ;/ im pretty sure some are doing it in the industry. Or how about cutting a tip in half putting it on two cues and calling them the same. You should get exactly what you pay for in my book.

Jesus Eric...could DH have played any better? I mean how could anyone not vote for the guy, he was all that and a bag of chips. What I loved most was the interveiw after the 6-0 NF match when he first mentioned his father...shows who he is. Teddy's a real cutie. He's 14 months old and still cute as a puppy and he's such a good boy. He's an early bird so we go for a ride in my golf cart every morning around 6 or 6:30. My wife and I are so glad we got him last December.
