So the friend that had the table continued to play after you left? Should the room owner have charged him for single rate while he was alone, double rate while you were with him and then single rate after you left?
Actually, yes, that is my position on how my friend should have been charged. That is the way it was done in the past. If it has changed then they should let people know. It's been my experience that this is standard practice when places have multiple player rates. So, to me, there isn't anything I should have to 'suck up' and get over.
@Bankin: If I had it to do over again I would have bought a house with a room big enough for a table. It would hgave saved me so much money in the long run...
@poolstar31: Actually, they don't have a proshop or cue repair anymore. As far as I can tell they are trying to make it just utilizing table time and beer/wine sales. That in and of itself makes for a tough row to hoe in my opinion. So, if you start running people off then you are making even less on table time. That's digging your own grave as far as I'm concerned.
Also, I don't mind the other places. Brown's is the type of joint (except music selection) that was my main hall in KY and when I don't want the smoke ---3+ months without a cigarette right now  --- then I can play at Ormond Bowling Lanes where my league team plays out of. APA rate there is $3/hour and they have two nice 9' GCs.
What I'm going to miss about Waldo's is a few regulars and the triple shimmed 9' Gabriels that was my favorite practice table.
