no i made about 100,000,000 there and lost 80 something % of it when the realestate market crashed and moved out, havent looked back.I hate Vegas, never did like it, but I made it work for me and I used it for what it was good for. I got a PHD in Vegas culture, gambling, the good old days of Vegas , a R/E Brokers license (now expired). I learned everything i could about it, Had monster inside juice with the City govt paid bribe $$$ oh yeah i'll talk now its been long enough ago that its ok, wont name names. I left unscathed except the $80+ million that evaporated -casino's didnt get a dollar of my $$$, thats for suckers.

Yeah i'm proud of what I did, I did the shit most people see in movies, I lived it, while the rest trade hours for dollars. I didnt bang the whores myself, dont like them, dont do dope, never tried it, dont hardly drink, either. I just used a city for what it offered when it offered it to my advantage, thats Hustlin real Hustlin, big $$$, movie type shit. andI lived it for 20 years, and now i'm real real comfortable. Went to jail once for 3 hours on a computer bug, thats the only beef I caught, didnt lose my freedom or asset seizure to the govt or anyone else. Why? cause I played by the rules. Paid all my taxes didnt cheat the IRS, or any henkey jive biz like that. Suckers cheatthe IRS ask Westly Snipes how that worked out for him. LOL

Vegas is a disease, its a infection, and there was a time it was the best place there was to make $$, problem now is its lost its edge, there is gaming everywhere, so that diluted its edge. So I left. I straight pimped it out, WITHOUT falling for it and the tragedy it creates, i watched more people lose their marriages, homes, life savings, sanity there than I care to think about, all behind those pretty flashy lights. See I'm not the sucker, I'm the guy that played the suckers.

pimps up hoes down,

and no I didnt pimp girls, too much drama for me, LOL

PS: Wayne Newton is a very very nice man, good guy.

After dealing cards for 8 years I have had many homes, businesses, and who knows what else go through my hands. I miss the money I made but the culture is sickening. I mande my share of mistakes and had my fun in Vegas. I never dealt in Vegas, the real money for a dealer is in California where the dealers keep their own money.
Now if I go to Vegas it's for pool or dinner and a show. If I didn't have friends there i would say Blow it up.

from your lips to Gods ears, I hate Vegas, it makes me sick to see what seen I have there and how its covered up. I sure as hell aint a saint, but man I aint near as low as they go in Vegas. Its a disease(no joke),

as far as $ goes i could have more if i wasnt lazy, but doing what you want to do (speaking for myself) is more important than another car etc. I''m lucky i didnt lose it all, i almost did.

Latest word on Bonus Ball is that they are going to avoid conflicts with existing events such as Ultimate 10 Ball, The Southern Classic and the various U.S. Opens put on by CSI in Vegas. If this is in fact true, it is a good decision imo!

Dave McColl of Runout Media and a representative of Bonus Ball will be on the Pool Time radio show this evening. The show airs live in the Kansas City market from 5pm to 6pm Central. It can also be listened live on the web at http://tunein.com/radio/KCXL-1140-s32214/

It should be a very informative interview about the latest news concerning Bonus Ball.

This is what Badi Nazhat has been hoping for UNITY in our industry.

All of our industry promoters need to be pulling in the same direction. Intentionally or unintentionally hurting another promoter's efforts is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Let's hear more about this attempt to avoid conflicts, ESPECIALLY how it relates to these two events which are just around the corner.

Well, as far as UTBC is concerned, we called Badi a few months back in regards to his event, and opted to eliminate a day right off our schedule to accommodate. We also adjusted the start times of our matches on days prior and after the UTBC event to give sufficient travel time the players.

Nathan, this begs the question, what about the Southern Classic and the U.S. Open One Pocket, Ten Ball and Eight Ball? Have I been misinformed?

Obviously Jay I am not involved with Bonus Ball but I was amazed to hear about the changed you had mentioned. The only event that Bonus Ball are working around to my knowledge and per their last press release is the Ultimate Ten Ball. The Southern Classic will only be attended by the players who have a off week from the schedule or decide to get a sub to play in their place. Hopefully Nathan can clear that up for sure but thats the way I have heard it. Hope all is well old man :)

IN listening to the podcast today by Dave McColl of Runout Media and reading this thread, it seems that the very recent addition of 12 ALTERNATE PLAYERS will allow any of the Main Players to choose an alternate to take there place.

So if players want to attend the Southern Classic, they should be able to do so. I'm not speaking for Bonus Ball but I hope that more will be done to
avoid conflicts with major events like The Ultimate 10 Ball Championship, Southern Classic, Derby City Classic, U.S. Open 10 Ball Championship, U.S. OPen One Pocket Championship, U.S. OPen 9 Ball Championship as well as the rest of the World Events.

Darryl Smith did a great job of covering a lot of pool business. I wouldn't mind being kept in the loop when he does more of these type broadcasts.

she says hello, and hopes your well,

I dont know if any America pool/billiard entity can crack into the asian market, I think they(asia) are going to be the big dogs and might tap into us-Asia might be the salvation of American pool. I wish everyone in the pool biz the best, its too tough of a biz for me right now. I thought about it several times, but man the complexities, low revenue etc. Are very difficult. Hats off to Diamond for being able to manufacture tables in America.

:smile:This is soooo true. I have questioned myself a few times why I got into this business. I still don't know the answer to that.

TBH when they said they were getting an additional 12 subs into BB I kinda chuckled because I think they are realizing the players are going to play the big events they want to play and Bonus Ball is going to need those subs badly. It should be interesting to see the lineups for the BB matches that conflict with the US Open 10-ball and how many actual members of that team are actually playing those matches and how many are subs.

He does them live every Sunday at 5:00PM Central time. I think this is a real bright spot for pool, it would be great if other people would emulate this type of thing.

new teams

I assume (hopefully) that you will be adding more teams next season if the league is successful. And considering that your market will be world wide are you planning on inviting teams from outside the US? Which leads me to another question. How does one get a team into the League?? Don
