Congrats to Mark Giffin for winning the Billiards Digest Man of the Year. There are not many that have done so much for pool over the years...and I don't think he's finished yet. Johnnyt
 
I don't think there is anyone out there more deserving than Mark Griffin. A heartfelt congratulations to the man who continually does so much for pool.

Yes, this is a fine and highly logical choice. Mark is one of pool's greatest treasures, and we must never stop appreciating everything he does for our sport.

I am almost certain that one of the reasons Mark earned this recognition is the powerful One Pocket scotch doubles partnership he created last year at the SBE. :)

Congrats Mark, that is quite an accomplishment. You deserve all the recognition you get, you do the things that everyone else just talks about doing.

Congratulations to Mark Griffin - his love for the game, and desire to contribute are admirable, and I can't think of anyone more deserving of the award (but please don't tell him I said this, we are still feuding).

All in all a pretty good year for MG - a beautiful new wife, great new venue for the DCC, another great year for the BCA, too numerous to mention contributions to the game (unfortunately he came up a bit shy in his attempt to get his name on the Betmore Cup.....well, you can't have EVERYTHING....).
 
Thanks for all the nice thoughts and comments. None of this could be possible without my great staff and encouragements from all the pool enthusiasts like those on AZB:thumbup:

There are more ideas in the "works" (unable to make comments for now) that could really pump up the pool world. My problem is I can't seem to turn my imagination off. I am just hoping to contribute a little more to the pool world before I make my final scratch in the side pocket;)
