Grady's Invite to World 14.1

Grady's phone call

Let's not forget that CW has explained that Grady phoned CW and apologized before all this happen. With that being said, my hat goes off to Grady as well for making the inicial phone call and apology......

What if Jasmin finish 5th in her group and Grady 6th, but Grady with more matches won. Who wins the bet? I will go for group-finish first, then matches won. If same, highest break.

What do you (and JB) think about that?

Are we on if they play eachother, even more than once during the event?

We all know that Grady has a lot on his plate right now, so if he cant make this tourney it would be understandable to say the least.

But I would be willing to open the window if he does..... taking Jasmin.

i kinda feel like a favorite show i was following has been cancelled and taken off the air !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:frown:


but wait, grady still has to exept the invite and say he is actually going to play.:rolleyes:

There seems little doubt that he wants to play but it probably depends on the health of his wife who is apparently very ill at the moment.

Funny as it may seem, Grady has never spoken a bad word to me in person nor I to him. If anything, our conversations have always been pleasant. I have admired and respected him as a player since I was a kid.

DP believes in giving players a second chance. I also believe in people deserving a chance. Heck, Corey Deuel took a swing at me , apologized and we've given him one more chance. Guess Grady throwing a few bad words my way cant be any worse. (Grady called me personally and gave what I felt was a sincere,genuine apology aside from his post. Think what he said and wrote took alot for any man to say)

I know many people will look at this and try to read between the lines,conjecture,ridicule etc. And as amusing as this all is to me, here is the truth:
Bottom line , this World 14.1 Championship obviously means alot to Grady Mathews to be a part of it. DP has the power to get him in. It's just a pool tournament.

Glad to hear Grady got his wish. Even though Charlie said Grady said bad stuff--- it's nothing compare to the bad stuff we've heard about Charlie on here...nothing.

Charlie makes it like he's the Godfather giving a second chance to someone - if anything, he HAD to do that for the entire pool world to consider giving him a 2nd chance with the stories we've heard.

Thanks Charlie for doing that for a legend - you're supposed to do that.

Regardless of whether or not Grady plays, at least the posts of his rantings will stop!! Now he can focus on his wife/family.

My thoughts are with you and your family Grady, during these tough times.

This (OPs post, not vettes photochop :p ) is a nice development in this cyber-story anyway, and I hope Grady plays.

Accu-stats are copyrighted so unfortunately I can't burn copies.

Watch ebay though as they do come up for sale from time to time. That is how I found mine.
 
Charlie, I told you yesterday what I THINK and FEEL about yours and cindy's decision......

Anyway, since we are "clearing the air", go ahead and post to Grady that I, indeed, on multiple occasions, the first year of this event, asked for Grady to receive an invite. I've been villified by some for believing that I preventedhim from receiving one. Thx.

Charlie,
Thank you for inviting Grady. My estimation of you has gone up and I believe you yourself have earned some new fans with this gesture.

I also think you'll have a very succesful future in promoting when you conduct business with an olive branch in one hand, as you did with our beloved Mr. Mathews.
