Hello all. Longtime follower of the forum. I just retired from the Army and am getting myself setup as a civilian now  Just wanted to introduce myself as I find I'm spending more time on the forum. Always tickles me to see all this knowledge floating around here that helps my game.

Anyway..40yr old. I have shot Mali cues since I was 14. Still have my first one, but have added two more since then. Played many Army tourneys and won a few. I play around with making my own cue case from time to time. Just finished up a new 3x6 so the old 2x4 is off to my son. Looking forward to trying out for the US Amateur in Tampa this year. I will be playing the qualifier in Charlotte in September. I will be the guy with the green and black case (if any of you are there.)

Anyway, enough for now. I look forward to adding to the forum when I have something viable to contribute.

Hi Roy;

Welcome aboard.

It wasn't very long ago that I introduced myself here after mostly lurking for some time, too.

Nice to have a fellow Army man coming on AzB.

Look forward to interacting with you.

Best,
Brian kc

Welcome to Az Billiards and thanks for your service to our country. I am also a retired soldier, I did 23 years active and 3 years reserve and I retired from the 3rd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division ( Striker ) at Ft. Lewis, Washington. There are many retired soldiers and active duty soldiers who post here on the forum.

Again thanks for your service, and if I can help let me know what I can do for you.

Take Care

Welcome to the forums! If you have a chance, put up a picture of your self made case.

Welcome to the forum! Try not to let the jerks get to you (you will encounter some, eventually). I would also like to see some pictures of your cases if you feel like posting some up, and thanks for your service

As Keith used to say, "Get those troops in from the hot Sun!" This comment was usually made while Keith was cruising through another rack. The balls were "his" troops and he wanted them "in" the pockets. And most of the time Captain McCready got all his troops inside quickly.

Where he came up with lines like this I have no idea. But he never failed to amuse the crowd sweating his action. Keith McCready was (and is) an American Original!

Contribute some pics! We always love seeing handmade cues and cases.

I may be Canadian, but thanks always goes to those in service to protect our great countries!

Welcome Roy, time to get in typing stroke my friend.

Jay thats a good story never heard that one, it got me wondering if maybe he came up with the term "man over board" when a ball jumps off the table? Ever hear anyone say that?

They should have just sent Keith overseas with his pool cue...he would shoot holes through the taliban lol. Bust them and not break em off a walking stick :) Keith McReady busts taliban....brings peace to the middle east.
