That is the other side of the coin. I don't and won't gamble and wouldn't wear a Hustlin' USA shirt even if I did, but I got to wonder how many who do wear the hustlin' clothing never make a bet.
I always thought pool was the one area where we all considered ourselves pool players first and not old guys, young guys, black guys, asian guys etc. It seemed that way to me and it was one of the "intangibles' that attracted me to this sport. Oh well my bubble is burst!

From what i've seen, most of the best pool players are so big around the mid section they have a hard time keeping their pants up or walking at any pace faster than real slow.

Good point, instead of the youngsters rolling their eyes at the old guy with a hustlin t-shirt they will be looking at the old geezer's tattoos.
On a side note, I see these young guys wearing their trousers down below their butts. I took a class on gangs once and the instructor told us the trousers below the butt thing got started among the Hispanic prison population in California. If an inmate had been punked out by his fellow inmates he was forced to wear his pants down below his butt.
I wonder how many youngsters are aware of that when they walk around with their butt hanging out.

Honestly you really need to examine your fashion sense, you could learn a lot from those "old guys".
How old are you anyways? Maybe they should market Hustlin diapers and baby outfits too. What's old to you? Enqiring minds want to know.

I heard a similar but different story which I tend to find more believable. Namely that clothing in prison is ill-fitting and off rides low anyway even if you try to wear it hip high. When these guys returned to the street they started wearing there civilian pants low to indicate they'd been inside. It then caught on with everybody because they wanted to look like the guys who'd been inside.
If that story is true I guess Bernie Madoff better get used to low riders. Woohoo, the rat bastard.

It is really quite amusing reading all this stuff. Its interesting how some older people on here have gotten their feelings hurt by this thread and their responses are full of other disrespecftful things aimed at younger people. Its like "oh yea, well young people can all go to hell!" I have quite a few tattoos, which I started getting in the United States Marine Corps, and I gotta say, its pretty low class to talk about others that you dont even know. Maybe the OP crossed the line with his question, but dont go getting all mean and grouchy with everyone. I play pool, golf, shoot skeet, and all kinds of other fun stuff with people old enough to be my great grandpa, and I love it. I believe there is a lot to learn from people from the last couple generations, so dont throw everyone under the bus because you dont like what one guy said.

I think it is a lot cooler to see an old guy wearing a hustlin usa t-shirt than it is to see a young guy with his pants half way down and his ugly butt crack showing!
It's a kids thuggy image (IMO), so it plain looks wrong over 25.
