Last night JCIN took me to Fatboy's house here in Vegas for some pool. Fatboy was there, and so was Max Eberle. It was a great time.

His house is truly amazing, and Eric is a great host. I had never met Max before, so it was a pleasure to meet him and get to play some.

Thanks to JCIN for setting it up, to Eric for being a great host, and to Max for the games.

Damn,Fatboy has Massey there and Max among lots of other champs,I think I need to get into a quick training regimen, where is San Jose Dick? :grin-square:

If Eric really wanted to do something for US Pool, he could play host to an American player training camp for a few months (he can), then I assure you at least one World Championship this year would belong to an American!

it was great, that problem i had is solved now(thank god) so i'm ready when you are, please bring your mom and dad during the day to see the property.

Coery is right, i can and am doing some things here for pool, i'm going to help some "Pro's" make $$$ here too-not just action-leave it at that for now. But I'm doing everything I can to put $$$ in the pocket of players/pro's and generate interest in pool with kids. I asked mike about the boys club and he is going to do a show for them, we have to work out a schedual but he offered. I will make a formal announcment. He is just the best, he is a better man than his stroke is and how good is that??? wow.

i have been triple blessed and worked hard too, now its slowly taking shape and comming to life here at casa de fatboy, I was thinking about it and I have had some "important" people in pool here in the past year, Bartrum, JA, Mike Massy, Corey Harper, Johnny Morra, louis ulrich, Ronnie Allen, Max, Mark Griffen, Jay Helfert, Kirkwood, Greg Sullivan, scott Gracio(cue maker), harry plaitis, the Benke family, Mike Deschaine, robert Lablanc, Mars(pool hall junkies), JCIN (Tar), brad Simpson(Cue Blue Book), another 15-20 AZers and more who I cant think of cause i'm busy right now. But its been cool to meet these guys and get to know them all. all in less than a year! wow

Me, I think this statement is what needs to be done Nationwide.

We as adults, and parents, need to introduce our children to the sport. My son will be 8yrs old Jan27. We are having his birthday party at All American Billiards in Muskogee. This is a nice, family oriented pool/game room.

Me and my wife are paying for 50 kids and thier parents to come play pool, eat some food, cake ice cream and drinks. And I am giving each child 5.00 to play video games. We are renting 10 time tables (Gold Crown) and We are going to set up a scotch doubles tourney for the kids to play in. Every kid will get a coupon to come back and play pool for free for 1hr, and the 2 winners I am buying them 2 Athena kids cues. It is truely my hope to teach these kids how to play pool as best I can, show them sportsmanship, and have fun while doing it. If we dont start working with our kids, what does the future hold for them....Support children playing pool, but show them the right way to do it, be a good sport, and have fun! Hopefully we can have a new generation of pool players come up that can truely show us how pool is supposed to be played!

It was a lot of fun last night. We played on a freshly recovered Diamond 9 footer in what has to be the coolest pool room I have been in, well besides the other pool room in Fatboys house with Gold Crown IV that we also played on. :D

As always Fatboy was a fantastic host and I look forward to what he has in mind for the future.

Don't feel bad Watchez.....

I was invited over and decided not to go. I'm not used to hanging out in such deplorable conditions.

:D

How was it playing with Max Eberle? I enjoyed his book "Zen Pool."

Nice! I grew up with Max and have had fine times with him. We used to have battles in our 20s, but his ggame really picked up after he moved to CA.
