Those photos you took of the CCClassic were some of the best photos I've seen of a pool tournament in a long time. They really captured the atmosphere. I love seeing what's happening behind the scenes and who's who. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing them!

Saw your post about Jimmy Abel. I used to play in White Plains and knew Jimmy also. He was a very good guy, and very knowledgeable about pool and life. You're right he did have a Jedi master sort of way about him. As you probably know, he was also an expert hypnotist and knew a lot about a lot of different subjects. I saw part of that 24-hour pocketing record at Executive Billiards in White Plains. Jimmy was explaining to me afterwards about how caught a rhythm by playing so fast and for so long.

Jimmy also wrote a good book about pool, although it hasn't been circulated widely.

He was an all-around nice guy, interesting, smart, and great pool player and teacher. Thanks for bringing him up in your post.

My light project proved challenging enough but had to use what I had at the time. My dad donated the electrical wire and all I had to buy was the track, connector, remote dimmer, and something to fish the wire thru. Three weekends later, the project was finally done. I will try new bulbs to help get the shadows closer to the rails, but anticipate building a lamp system like yours.

Please let me know what the new price is for the Hills cue - if it's still available.

Thanks for your comments on the light with my Anniversary. I also thought about a rounded-corner design, but decided that was beyond my woodcrafting skills. The light is even better now than in the avatar photo, since I found some silver parabolic egg crate reflectors to replace the thin white ones shown.
