Dippy, Since you've already confessed to stealing Scott's truck, if Scott were to take you to small claims court, you would easily lose the case. Furthermore, if Scott were to get a lawyer he might even be able to file additional charges against you for theft. With a lawyer pursuing Scott's case, it's quite possible that you could face jail time and/or additional financial penalties.

So why don't you offer to settle the outstanding claims. You'll give him the Tahoe and title and Scott will forgive the 50K debt you owe him. Those are my suggestions; you two can work out the smaller details as you see fit.

Didn't you and I have a bet on UStream a few weeks ago? I think I still have the paypal receipt from when you settled up. I acknowledge that our bet was slightly south of $50k (:grin-square:) but gambling is gambling and you partake.

Now you are on your pulpit saying you want to rescue our sport from "gamblers". LOL!

NEWSFLASH #1: Gambling is an historic part of the game of pool. That isn't ever going to change. Not everyone involved in pool has to gamble on it but gambling will always be a big part.

NEWSFLASH #2: Heavily opinionated, pot stirring, antagonist, bitter fellow, and p-r-i-c-k-l-y pear can now be joined by hypocrite.

Don't decry the gamblers when you yourself are one, albeit, a small-timer. ;)

I am pretty damn disappointed that in a thread of such epic proportions we have yet to see a classic Disco Photochop. Talk about a gold mine of possibilities.

I can only imagine what that mind of yours could conjure up were you so inclined. Actually it kinda scares me a little too.

I don't think Bishop came on this thread to flame. He's got a strong opinion on the issue at hand and he stated it.

It's really troubling that anytime someone on here states an opinion that is opposed to one of the "idols of AZB" they get vilified and/or red-repped into oblivion. That's not what red rep is for.

A quick refresher on pool action math:

Take the reported total on the internet....subtract 30%-50%.....divide this number by 2 to 8 partners who were in on the bet and you will have a rough approximation of what someone could maybe have actually had in his pocket 2 minutes after splitting up the loot.

There is an additional Vegas algorithm that applies to most players who make any type of pool score within the Clark County Nevada borders. It goes like this: For every hour spent in close proximity to any of the following: Dice table, BJ Table, and/or Strip Club subtract 5% of the above sum. This is a close approximation of what is known as the "Burn rate"

There are also esoteric formulas that apply in extreme cases such as the "Cliff Paradox" and the "Pagulayan Principle" but these are of an unusual nature and do not happen very often.

To summarize the lesson: Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Neil has been quite clear why he has chosen to Red rep him. Roy did the same, and I also contemplated it as well.

It has nothing to do with idols...it has to do with principle, respect, and courtesy. If Bishop possesses any of these, then he has failed to make use of them in this thread.
