It's that fascination, that people who post stuff like this, have with the misfortune of others.
I call it gloating. You can call it whatever you want.
Either way, it doesn't belong here.
She seemed to have been pretty proud of him. Now we find he is just another idiot who pissed away all his money. The chances the kind of opportunities he had will come around again are very remote. Child actors historically don't fair very well when they get a little older and not usually so cute. But it was pool related when Mom came on here and asked all AZB members to vote for Drake in a talent show and to follow him on facebook and others things. Come on Fran...give us a break. We know she's a friend. Johnnyt

For him, unless he has some education or something to fall back on his future will be a very hard up hill climb. It is hard to take a job and make regular everyday money when you have one time in your life made the kind of money he has. That feeling of entitlement still lingers.
No, this is not pool news just because Robin is his mom.
It's really a shame for the people who post here to berate someone for filing bankruptcy without knowing the circumstances, and what that person may have had to face.
I know of several people who have had to resort to filing due to circumstances beyond their control. Things happen.
Why don't you all stop gloating over someone's misfortune and move on to something that actually relates to pool?
Probably borders the line of pool related, but its news...

Sad, I warned Robin about having proper money management for Drake many years ago, beginning with trusted advisers. He was making big money (seven figures) then! Drake didn't even read the monthly statements he was getting. I offered to help him (and her) way back when. If I had, I promise you he wouldn't be broke now. I strongly suspect he also got hurt by his "managers."
I hope he rebounds .Drake will be fine. He's a celebrity already and will find his corner in the market and be back on top again before you know it, only this time, like Nelson, Foreman, and Trump, he'll be able to draw on his wisdom of lessons learned. I'd buy stock in him. He's got something that others in the industry strive for, and that's talent and charisma.
IMHO, if people (including familiy members) are going to point out all the GOOD stuff in the media for people to follow someone in their quest for stardom, then they better BE PREPARED for the negative stuff that may come afterward.
That is the "PRICE OF FAME"!
If you DON'T want to be noticed, then DON'T try to become FAMOUS!
You CAN'T have it BOTH ways.
You-all are making much ado about nothing. Sheesh! Lots of celebrities file bankruptcy and end up bouncing right back, higher and better than ever, because they learn from their mistakes.
In 1990, Willie Nelson filed for bankruptcy, owing the Feds about $16 million. By1993, his debts were paid off. Willie later sued Price Waterhouse for mishandling his finances. Today, Willie Nelson is back, better than ever, enjoying life.
In the '80s, boxing champion George Foreman was on the verge of bankruptcy. In Foreman's case, fear of financial ruin proved to be a good thing because it drove him to re-enter the boxing ring at age 45 and regain his heavyweight title against Michael Moorer in 1994. This second chance at success enabled him to pay off millions of dollars of debt and launch a new career as an entrepreneur hawking George Foreman Grills. Millions have been sold, and he's a fat cat today.
Thomas Jefferson was one of the greatest and smartest of all Presidents of the United States. Unfortunately, he wasn't smart about money for his heirs. After his death, his estate Monticello and all his possessions, including 120 slaves, were auctioned off to help pay off $107,000 in debts (a fortune in 1826).
And Mr. Money Man himself, Donald Trump has filed two bankruptcies. That's right, two of them. You heard it right. The first bankruptcy of his hotel/casino empire occurred in the early '90s to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. His second occurred in 2004, this time to the tune of $1.8 billion. In 2005, Trump stepped down as CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc, and "The Apprentice" is coming back for another season. His lifestyle doesn't look too shabby, either.
