My Top 3 AZ'ers

I can't pick 3. I've tried and I keep thinking of more great people that I just can't leave out of this most recent popularity poll of 3, so I'll just say that I like many, many more people than I don't.

I spend most of my allotted time on AZB in NPR these days. Regarding WFS, I've pretty much stopped buying Cues, as I have all the Cues & Cases I could use in 15 lifetimes.
The majority of topics on Main are out of my realm of interest, but I do post there from time to time when I feel I have something worthwhile to contribute.
That said, it is near impossible to pick (3) or (33) or (333) of my favorite Members. Most on Main are courteous, knowledgeable (to a degree), and appear genuinely interested in the various Games of Pool we play and, more importantly, the direction in which Pool is headed.
WFS can be tedious when you have to fumble through "bump after bump", only to discover that the item has been sold and the Thread not updated to reflect the true status. I wonder why we (the OP) have no ability to delete a thread in WFS ? However, there are many, many fine Sellers on this Forum. Far too many good ones to ever pick just (3).
NPR, My late-night hangout, hosts a cast of characters that even the most skilled Hollywood
Casting Agent could not assemble. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (I fit in there somewhere, depending on whom you ask).

AZB is a "Dukes Mixture", "Heinz 57", "Rogue's Gallery" of Ideas, Opinions, Beliefs that run the gamut of diversity.

It's dang near impossible to pick just (3) Favorites ?

I was thinking about all the people who post on here and in particular those who help others by answering questions about pool or equipment. These people have a wealth of knowledge and are more than willing to share!

This is a hard one to pick, because we all come to this forum for different reasons. IOW, I rarely venture over to the Wanted/For Sale sub-forum or the Action Room, so my selection criteria may differ from others.

My top three are:

wincardona -- a genuine road warrior, Billy is the real deal and a friend
sjm (the original "voice of reason") -- for his common sensical replies
pro8dg -- provides a global view of the pool world

Honorable Mention:

freddy the beard -- each word he writes about pool is delicious
BigTruck -- industry member who continues to provide quality pool live streams, many times free
houmatroy -- true Southern gentleman who likes action, like me, and shares his insights
JoeyA -- always positive and upbeat, refreshing to read
Kid Dynomite -- been playing pool since he was a pup, knows the industry, posts are based on experience and wisdom
Jerry Forsyth --man of few words, but when he speaks, I listen, a wealth of pool knowledge
The Saw -- Not a follower of any click and calls it like he sees it
watchez -- haven't always agreed with him, but do respect his pool insights as being "triple smart"

Who I Miss:

Terry Ardeno -- a genuinely kind man who knows his pool history better than most
Blackjack -- still enjoy reading him on FB, but his absence on this forum is our loss
SmorgassBored -- could put out a flame thread with his quick wit and humor. RIP, Smorgie
Hemicudas -- a pool enthusiast like me who thorough shared and enjoyed pool's golden years
Lock N Load -- sweet man who tried to provide fun to this forum

Who I *always* read every post:

AzHousePro -- when Mike Howerton speaks, everybody listens
Mr. Wilson -- remembers him when he used be a happy forum member, but has the thankless job today of putting out flames, so I visit the wreckage to see what happened
Mark Griffiin -- always interesting to read the insights of a valuable industry member trying to effect a change for the better

New Kid on the AzB Block:

jpparmentier -- fresh perspecitves in a struggling pool world, refreshing to read

Tough to narrow it down.

JCIN: always read his posts because they're succinct, blunt, and give an insider's perspective
from someone heavily involved in the scene. I like it when he goes all sarcastic on people.

Jay Helfert: Another one who has the inside track on everything, great stories, great perspective
on the phillippines, his opinion carries weight because he's seen it all and been part of the
pool world for decades. Also writes well. I read Wincardona for the same reasons but he's dropped off the radar here lately.

For number 3 it's a multi-way tie.

I read the posts from the pros automatically. Who else will have the most realistic perspective on that life?
So that means most of CJ's stuff, any Bartram post (not difficult, it's usually 10 words or less),
I especially love to see Darren Appleton chime in, and miss John Schmidt's posts.
I'll even read Danny Harriman's posts though it's usually a lot of anger and nuttiness.

Wish Mike D. posted more often, and wish Johnny Archer posted stuff that didn't feel like PR/marketing.
Freddy the Beard, not posting much lately but would welcome more from him.

I always read AtLarge's break stats and the rare comments he'll add outside the discussion of statistics.

I always read SJM's posts because they are just so... I dunno. Polished and erudite.
I don't even always agree with his opinions but they are respectfully stated and backed by
evidence and experience, never kneejerk or hostile like so many posts on AZ.
Bond crafts some nice posts too and has great historical info.

I love Spidey's posts for his sense of humor though I feel he's out of line occasionally.
His description of getting a sucker spot from a one pocket legend is one of my favorite posts of all time.

I always read Joey A's posts because he's got strong opinions and a positive tone,
though occasionally he has an oil'n'water thing with some people.

I'm gonna feel bad now if I leave anyone out so let's get out some honorable mentions.
JAM has historical info and photos that are second to none and writes very professionally.
Disco, Corvette, Black Balled - AMUSE.
Lou F. & JB - I gotta mention them on the same line. Enjoy their back'n'forth
but also their individual posts. JB's posts are passionate and lengthy, lou's are dry and brief.
It's a nice contrast.
Pathetic Shark - labelled as a troll, but really just holds unpopular opinions and sticks to them.
Completely unafraid to be rude to/about someone, which is actually good for a laugh unless you're the target.
Any posts from the Jerry and Mike get my attention, plus Mark Griffin and any of the major industry guys.

This is way more than 3, sorry. Cheers to Petey for the mention, I gotta look at that guy's posts more closely ^^

I'll give the Pimp a spot.
He is pretty level headed with his posts and also for the tireless effort he puts in
to give us our daily laughs in the Funny Gif Thread.

When I get up and pour a coffee, if the Funny Gif thread is one the front page, I always tune in for my first laugh of the day.

Its a great thread, many members scour the interwebz daily to bring us something different in that one.

I recently scheduled a "mulligan" session with that same one pocket legend. He just kept going backwards until I left a peek at something and then would run 18 and out or something.

When someone thinks like Gary Kasparov and executes like John Holmes.... it's REAL tough to fade. Hard to imagine that being a sucker spot, but it must be. My next move is scratches don't count. I guess we'll give that a go one time.

I don't play THAT bad... these elite guys just play THAT good. I've run 8 and out countless times and my high run is 12 or 13 during a game... it just ain't good enough....clearly.

I've taken on plenty of sucker bets in my time...hell, I still do! Sometimes, I'll pay just to SEE it if I haven't seen it before. What fun is being "told" when you can try to fade it? I pay for experience all the time.

Terry is without a doubt the nicest most likeable guy who has ever posted. LocknLoad is a close second. My heart goes out to Mr. Lock...no one should go through what he did, ever. Wish I could give that guy a big hug.

I mentioned earlier that there are at least 200 posters that I like to read.
You're one of them, Spidey.

Sometimes I'm :idea2: or  or  or :thud: or :rotflmao1:

...but not too many dull moments.

There are so many good posters on here it's nearly impossible to answer this objectively. Some of those who rarely post, come up with pearls of wisdom when they do. AZ is a very valuable resource for me, knowing that almost any pool related question I have will find an answer on here. In fact even not so pool related issues can often be resolved here as well. Many wise minds populate this forum. I'm always learning something new on here.

That said, the first ones who come to mind for me among the "regulars" are SJM, with his always well thought out and equally well worded responses. Next is JCIN who shoots straight from the hip, holding nothing back and still finds a way to inject humor at the same time. Then there is my friend JoeyA who is one of the great supporters of our sport and constantly looks for the good in every thread.

I also appreciate Jerry Forsyth's inside scoop on everything, but since he is a co-owner I can only give him a special mention . Sorry big Jer! Same for our houseman Howerton. He is first on the AZ honor roll for somehow creating this monster site.

Honorable mention would go to about 100 others who contribute regularly and always add to the threads rather than detract from them. Okay I will go sit in the corner now and wait for someone to wake me up.

P.S. I left out one guy who I particularly like, because I really relate to his pool journey. That's JohnnyT, who found a way to make a living off this game playing the back rooms and bars just like I did in my 20's. I would go anywhere and play anyone once upon a time, if I thought I could make a few bucks. They had to prove to me that I couldn't beat them! Johnny took the same route in his neck of the woods. I'm sure if we ever met way back when we would have had a good go at each other.
