Video of Barry stiff rant. Randall posted it on Facebook, threw it up on Youtube so people could access it. Unreal stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXXFWmQ3WRY
AFAIK Barry only ever had two locations.
I don't know how many of the posters in this thread actually are part of the US Open LLC (or whatever it is called), or paid the entry fee of a player in the tourney. If you are neither of the above it is none of your business when and how the players are paid, as you are not part of the contract of being paid for a certain level of performance.
You'd be surprised how closed mouthed they can be when there is still hope.
It just makes no sense for players to keep quiet. "IF" they have not been paid then let the pool world know.
Otherwise silence will only make us wonder if its true.
Right now I think all players have been paid or at least an agreement was signed by all the players concerning distribution of funds.
Well, does anyone know what the APB or Johnny are doing? Here is what Johnny posted two days after the 2013 US Open, on October 21, 2013:
"I want to let everyone know that every player at the US open has been paid in full. A lot of people pitched in to help to make this happen. Thanks to everyone involved (you know who you are). The players received their checks within 2 hours after they were eliminated. It was a very smooth process. This should have set a precedent in all future events. Pool made a big step this week. I pool would go as well as the open did last week then all events will be successful. Thanks to everyone for supporting the ABP so we could get this done. Thanks to Barry and Shannon for working with us for making this US Open successful. Thanks, President of ABP
Johnny Archer"

Then in a follow-up on October 27, 2013:
"First I would like to say thank you to Barry, Shannon, Dennis Walsh and Art Wiggins for making this US Open a success when it comes to the payouts. We all came up with a formula that will definitely work for many years to come. As far as Barry saying bad things to me the answer is yes. We both have said many bad things to each other all year long. But that is between us and we have shook hands and moved on. Bottom line is every player has been paid in full and that is what the issue has been. Nothing else. I look forward to playing in the 39th US Open in 2014 (if I am still playing). HaHa. I hope this answers some questions. Now let's move on from this and get into Mosconi Cup mode and go kick some European butt. Thanks to all of you for being such great fans of this sport!! See you in Vegas, JA"

An agreement was already made for them to be paid on completion of their last match. It was broken. With BB, agreements dont count. Been through this so many times before and trust me, it's the odd case when a Player goes public saying he was stiffed until 90% of hope is lost.
In 2013, we were told that the WPA was requiring Barry to deal with the ABP and post the money. Barry deposited the added money into my trust account. The player's entry fees then went directly into my trust account as well. We basically had most of the money needed to pay the players prior to the US Open starting.
When it came close to the last day, Barry wanted us to transfer the money into his account and we refused to do so. He threatened to have Johnny or me arrested but we held strong. I transferred the money from my trust account to a new account at Bank of America that Johnny Archer could access. Johnny then wrote out the larger checks for the last few days.
This year, I heard that the WPA was not requiring the same arrangement. I read Barry's press release that he was going to put the money in escrow in his own account and noticed there was never any announcement that it had been done.
The result is no surprise to me.

Danny Harriman has gone public about the money he is owed and has taken a stand to not play until he is paid. Say what you want about Danny, but I respect him as a pool player with a backbone.

Hall of Fame Banquet
The Hall of Fame Banquet was good fun,
especially a) the love-fest between Johnny Archer and Barry Behrman that resulted from the recent escrowing of all the added money for the upcoming US Open 9-ball event
and b) Ralph Eckert's hilarious comments in his introduction of Oliver Ortmann. Among his funnier comments was that after watching Ortmann warm up at one of the tournaments in Germany, he wondered whether it was too late to approach the tournament director to get his entry fee back. Oliver was clearly delighted to be inducted into the 14.1 Hall of Fame in the presence of Eckert and Hohmann, two of those he inspired. Bob Watson spoke well about the other inductee, Gene Nagy, and the theme of Bob's comments was that the many players who Gene influenced think about him often. Gene is, indeed, gone but not forgotten.

The players held their ground in 2013 and, apparently not in 2014. Truly a shame.
In 2014, the WPA did not require Barry to be monitored.
The results speak for themselves.
How are you a stakeholder. Do you have stock in the company? Please show me any contract that shows you are a stakeholder. What legal recourse do you have if the players are not paid? Do you claim any profit/loss on your taxes?
I repeat it is none of your business.
