ran 239,294 on diamond.

High Runs

You should get a Guiness Book of World Records placque for this effort and your name in their book.

I can't wair for the DVD.

if i can make ball on break and get shot on lowest ball i can. theres so much luck in 9ball compared to 14.1 and 1hole i cant believe its the game that defines the best players.

Tap Tap Tap

I know for some it may be boring, but Id MUCH rather watch 14.1 or one pocket any day.

Nice runs John, way to make the rest of us feel even worse about how we play this game LOL.

Id like to see more players taking an interest in 14.1 and have the game brought back to life in tournaments.

It isn't. Nine ball fits the culture though - it's very fast and doesn't require too much thinking.

Great

I will take a copy, I have watched your 245 many times.

Way to go!

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPP!

just kiddin that was my evil side talking.

There was another thread a couple days ago asking how often a top 14.1 player beginning with ball in hand can run 100 on a table with 4 1/2" pockets. One in five, one in ten...

I would be interested in John's opinion.

hi

i would think for me on optimum conditions 5 inch pockets 5 tries would be tough but probably about right.
on a diamond i dont know if i would want 10 tries.it would be tough to do it in 10 tries but again thats just a guess and probably about right.
i know alot of great pros on tour i would give 10 tries to and they would go broke.

At DCC you get 12 tries for $ 100, and imo you are a favourite to make a 100+ during those 12. Agree?

How many times have you played the 14-1 Challenge, and how many 100+ do you have at DCC? One year I think Niels had two 100+ runs in one day, and three total. Could be wrong about this, though. Then again, this year, he didn't even run 80 in 12 tries.

long story short in the last couple of days i ran 239 and next day 294 on diamond on camera.
ill do player review and have dvds out for sale as soon as i can.
well im told 294 is highest ever run on film and im thrilled. that doesnt make me forget my bad usopen but hey all i can do is push on.if i only played under pressure like i practice lol.

John, do you realize that except for one miss you would have run 533 balls? That beats Mosconi's 526, so you can do it Funky John!

Well yes

I think John would be a viable candidate to break Mosconi's 526 record, but there is also a little thing like 15 World titles in 14.1 too for Mosconi.

Put yourself on a gold crown and play straight pool until you best mosconi's run. Everyone in the world who gives a crap about straight pool would buy that dvd. That might even make its way into mainstream sports media.

Hey John, nice run, 294 that's awesome! I can't wait to get the DVD. My 169 player review is kinda worn out, it skips :-) PM me when it's done OK John Thanks, Mark

John...Those are some awesome runs on any table...but on a Diamond it is extra special. I agree with mnorwood. I'd love to see you beat Mosconi's run on a GC, and I agree that I believe it would make the mainstream media. It's been said before here that if someone put up a big cash prize, someone would beat Mosconi's HR of 526. You'd certainly be a likely candidate! Good luck in your next event!

Alway's wuz Johnny Boy, 9-ball been luck for years, we all know that. I think we should go back to push out if they dont want to change the game of 9-ball. The old school way.........Shoot @ something, make that shot and get out. Thats the "PLAYER".. Not miss the ball by a foot, and kiss up behind the 9 shooting the 4. Then walk back to the chair like you wanted to do it..LOL
