Viffer the Stiffer

didn't Scott have this same scenario happen when Ronnie lost that money to the pool room owner? Just sayin'

That being said, I wouldn't play Donald Trump unless he posted the F$%$#@ money.

Anybody who believes lie detector tests are anything more than a carnival act is kidding themselves. There is a reason they aren't admissable in court.

I took a test once in my life, about thirty years ago. I had been falsely accused of a crime and I wanted to clear it up immediately. I took the test, told the truth, and the operator told me I must have been nervous (yes I was) and the results were inconclusive. The lady detective comes in the room a minute later and tells me that I'm lying, and that I failed the test. NEVER AGAIN!

I respect your opinion usually, however I have to really disagree with you on this. I have personally watched hundreds of Jerry Springer episodes and the evidence speaks for its self. I am sure you can find more than one episode on youtube that will possibly make you change your mind and your opinion on lie detector tests. One sticks out in my mind named "Are you my baby daddy" Check it out.

Funny stuff.

For Dippy Dave, next time get a receipt my man.

For Lenny, how did he get out the door without paying?

You may remember a guy named Richard Jewell who was falsely accused by Janet Reno of setting off a bomb at the Atlanta olympics (the real bomber was Eric Rudolph). The FBI wanted him to take a lie detector test. His lawyer hired his own polygrapher and Jewell passed the test, refusing to trust the FBI polygrapher.

There are people who naively believe the polygraph has caught them and confess. That is the only value to it. Who wouldn't be nervous in a police station being accused of a crime, especially if they were innocent? I'd probably fail every test they gave me.

Lenny...I have read this entire thread and have come to one conclusion and that is you were expecting to get paid your take from Scott that Dippy paid to him. Scott says he didn't get it....you are getting stiffed by Scott I believe!! Maybe Scott considered that last set as jelly from you and just don't want to fess up!! uuummmmmmm.....

'Cause I don't see Scott or Billy coming to your defense here. I think that should clue you in that you have been quite possibly heisted my friend!!! I hope I'm completely wrong but it don't look good from my experiences.

Sometimes things are not quite as they seem. :o

There is a multitude of factors that come into play. ;)

I doubt Billy or Scott will comment due to the fact that certain matters may be private, ongoing and/or in progress. :ignore:

I think Lenny is at the bottom of the food chain in this situation, but I understand his frustration. :(

My motto when it comes to pool has always been to pay off after each game. I don't care how many beans my horse is playing for. Sometimes, though, people make accommodations and grant accessions in order to get played. In pool, this is how misunderstandings occur.

Players argue of call shot or call pocket, for example. If you don't straighten out these rules BEFOREHAND, it can result in pure chaos.

Oh, one more thing. Never leave your money under the table, and don't accept any wooden nickels.

hmmm kinda like having high blood pressure only when the doctor takes it.

at home it is fine for me. geeeesh

Lenny posted that Scott is now his roommate. I would think that Lenny consulted Scott before he posted this thread and then would consult Scott again once Viffer made the claim that he paid all money to Scott to disperse.

The odd thing is that Viffer has been posting on here for over a month about how much higher in character he is than the pool player.

I got accused once too-3 detectives working me over, pounding the table, screaming, saying the Grand Jury was gonna indict me etc. I swear i almost confessed and i didnt do anything-nothing. I had chest pains like crazy.

The only thing that really saved me was they told me that they knew that i knew this guy that WAS involved because we had worked right next door to each other in Manhattan 10 years previous. Well i had never heard of the guy.

The dicks had really done research and learned we both had worked on Madison Ave. Meanwhile each bldg had 10,000 people in them and i didnt know anyone outside my Office so that's when i new they were fishing.

Anyway-never again for me too. I want a lawyer-end of grilling-end of story.

no. read it again. Scott is roommates with the owner of Kolby's. Scott has been in Vegas for a while.

Lenny: Were you betting on the previous sets or did you just jump in (spur of the moment) on the last one? A spontaneous bet is the only scenario I can imagine where you handed your bet to Frost instead of taking it directly to Viffer.

No matter what, JAM is right that you're probably the small fish that gets screwed in this situation. By putting Frost between you & Viffer, you've opened yourself up to larceny by whomever wanted to to take advantage of you or doesn't care enough to protect your interests.

Sucks that 10's of thousands were floating around & you put your $$$ in just to get heisted.

I've taken many of them for bonds working in the Jewelry Findings Companies, at the Police station for questioning, local, county, state, and Fed. I passed them all. Even the ones I lied on. There is a way to beat them easily. That's why they hold NO weight in court. Johnnyt

I think there is slight confusion over the comment about roommates. If you go back and read Lenny's post where he brings this up, it appears that he is saying to Dippy that it is not reasonable to think that Scott, who was Billy's roommate (in a Vegas hotel room at that time - I remember Billy & Scott joking on air about their hotel arrangement), would rip Billy off. The comma placement in the orig post may have made it appear otherwise. I think I have the context correct.

Best,
Brian kc
